Nevsky Express

Près de la gare de Moskou, l'hôtel est plutôt bien placé. Très proche du métro, au centre du coeur névralgique de la ville, la situation est parfaite pour visiter la ville. Là où le bât blesse, c'est le bruit. Si vous avez la chance d'avoir une chambre sur cour, vous dormirez certainement. Malheureusement quand la chambre a vu sur la Perspective Nevski, c'est très difficile de dormir. Apportez vos boules Quiès ! Sans compter que les murs sont fins, et les voisins parfois bruyants...

The hotel is on the main street (Nevsky Prospekt), but a good 30 minutes walk from the main attractions. However, this walk is pleasant and safe, and there are nice buildings and other "mini-attractions". When you get tired of walking there are buses, though traffic on this street is hell... Metro is nearby, but still 5 mins walk, and saves about 20 mins of walk. Also the hotel is in an urban area, so no problem finding restaurants nearby. The Armenian place next door is recommended for its excellent food (and low prices) - less for its service. Downside is that some rooms face the street, which as said is very main, so it's a bit noisy - and also the curtains don't really protect from outside light. Breakfast is okay - not more than that. The staff speaks English very well (for St. Petersburg...) and was helpful.

Het Nevski Express Hotel in St. Petersburg is een prima hotel om te logeren als je niet te hoge eisen stelt aan je accommodatie. Zoals dus in ons geval. Op stedentrip zijn een goed bed en een lekkere douche de belangrijkste ingredienten die wij vragen. Plus natuurlijk dat het schoon moet zijn en aan alle drie hiervoor genoemde vereisten wordt voldaan. Het ontbijt stelt niet veel voor; geroosterde boterhammetjes en wat muesli en lauwe potjes yoghurt en voor de liefhebber pasta, worstjes en geraspte kaas. Verder prima koffie en thee, dus een goed begin van de dag. De meisjes die de receptie bemannen spreken goed Engels. Er is een pc met gratis internettoegang aanwezig voor de gasten. Het hotel ligt op 2 minuten lopen van metrostation Vosstanya. Kortom een prima verblijf gehad!

Nice enough bearing in mind rate and location. Typical economy mini hotel - they have to store vacuun cleaner in main hall as their main attraction because there is not plenty of space.

I can't recall such bad things or service. However, in the kitchen service was a bit delayed (most tables were busy by dirty dishes when we came to eat). And room was smoked a little bit, although we kept window opened and asked for non-smoke apartments. Definitely I would recommend this hotel and probably will stay there on the next time.

Great location (2-minute walk from Moscow Train Station), very courteous staff, tasty breakfast, free wi-fi. Rooms aren't huge like those in the US hotels, but large enough compared to typical European hotels. Strongly recommended

Hotel discreto, in ottima posizione, lo consiglio, è una buona soluzione

Recently renovated you can still smell the new carpet. Very well located. Very clean. Helpful staff. The only hard thing is that is on the second floor and there is no lift so if you are carrying a huge bagagge (20Kg) you will drop some sweat for sure. Also as is located on a busy avenue it can not be so quiet at nights.
