Courtyard by Marriott Atlantic City Beach Block

We traveled as a group with 6 rooms for 2 nights. The hotel lobby was great and the staff were nice, however, when most of the rooms are not available at the posted check-in time of 4pm, something needs to be done. Only two of our (double) rooms were ready and two of our couples needed to switch to double rooms from king rooms because there was no estimated time frame where they would be ready. The center elevator did not go up to the 3rd floor, so everytime we tried to go to our room we had to wait for one of the other two. Our 3rd floor ice machine did not work and our room constantly ran hot. I don't believe the A/C was working as we had it on cool and fan set to 65 degrees but it constantly said almost 80. In fact, when checking in, several customers came down to complain of the A/C not working. I mentioned this to the front desk staff upon leaving for the afternoon on Saturday and I am unsure if anything was done or if anyone even checked. There was no notice or message left and the room was still hot. Throughout our weekend stay, we didn't get housekeeping nor did we even see a housekeeper. I assume we were supposed to ask for it, but it would have been nice if we were told at check in. Despite the several hiccups with our group, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We used the room to get ready and sleep. This location is ok. It's a long block from the boardwalk and is another block from Resorts for the casino. I felt it was quite expensive, maybe only a little less than staying at the Tropicana or Resorts, for a hotel with no pool or casino and a $20 per night parking fee. Just make sure you're not in a rush to check-in and drop bags to leave for evening plans. There's a very good chance the check in process will take a while and you still won't have a room or the room you booked until later, as per a few people in our group. Just spend a little more to stay right on the boardwalk. It will save a headache and extra walking.

Awful staff! Took over an hr to get checked in. Air conditioning didn’t work. Was a constant 82 degrees in the room.

Over all clean, close to resort casino which was great for walking distance.

The air conditioning in the room did not work. I was given a window fan. None of the floor had any ice. Waited an hour just to check in.
