Grand Palms Resort

Our stay was horrible. We were given an old outdated room. The bathroom fans were obnoxiously loud, the place was not clean (there was food on the floors and walls super dirty), and worst of all when we showered the bathroom shower leaked into the closet and soaked my brother in laws clothes! Not a great experience.

it was a very pretty and nice experience. It was not my first time here, my kids love it. They enjoyed the pool and the view of the lake.

The 2 bedroom Villa was spacious, and my kids enjoyed the quick walk to the pool and lazy river. It was a quick 5 minute drive to the Surfside Beach Pier. There were lots of great restaurants and touristy shops close by.

We booked a two-night stay in a two-bedroom villa to attend a destination wedding. At reception, we were given the option of the ground floor or the second floor, as well as "Moon Pies" for everyone. I expressed my wish for a silent location, as I have difficulty sleeping, so we took the 2nd floor. Upon entering the villa, we noticed a strange smell and a stain on the living room carpet, as well as a non-functional doorbell. They sent someone to clean the carpet and fix the doorbell. Although the service was good and quick, it was annoying that we had to deal with that. The worst part was that there was a 3rd floor with a family above us who let their kids run around all night. We had three toddlers with us, who were trying to sleep, as well as six adults. No one got any sleep on any of the nights. The people upstairs were blasting music and running and stomping all night long, as well as smoking, which entered our room. The management was kind enough to offer us two free nights, which we never responded to, as this is a 12-hour drive, so we will not be going back. The villa was very spacious, and the beds were comfortable.
