Grand Palms Resort

Our unit 209- A1 was very nice and we enjoyed our time spent there but did notice that there were no blankets in the closet if needed for anyone using the couch [ pull out bed] to sleep on. Upon arriving we drove right past the registration building, drove around confused looking, due to no clear signage, asked directions from the shuttle driver who told us it's all the way out front :(---which way was that ????persistence got us to the right place, but better directions/ signs would be a big help, unless you know where you are going, it's confusing, other people in the check in line had the same opinion

I think this place is beautiful at Check in but is the complete opposite of what the photos display. The indoor pool was not blue it was more on the greenish side.. the kids area was a joke, with the equipment out of date and unmanaged. There was a huge screw sticking out one of the sprayers. Our room had roaches, the balcony had a screw sticking out of where it was bolted to the wall on the right when you stepped out. Trash all below us on the grass. The kitchen was closed in the main pool area. The security shack to the community in the back by the pool was unattended. The trees we parked under left a residue on our vehicles. Our fridge wasn’t working when we arrived, someone came to fix it. Overall we stayed because we paid and had to, but we will NEVER go back.

When you check in, they try to upsell you into watching a promotional presentation. Bathroom tile had black mold around tub & toilet.

I didn’t like that nothing opens (gym, guest services…etc) until 7am. I’m an early riser and wanted to use the gym, pool etc early so I could start my day. The room was very nice and comfortable. Checking in and out was very easy.

We had a wonderful stay here! The kitchen is very well equipped but that doesn’t leave space for groceries in the cabinets. We had a tote we used and it was fine. The beds are super comfortable and the unit is very spacious. We had a unit that overlooked a pond with ducks, geese, turtles and swans. The pools were awesome! My little one loved the kiddie pool and the lazy river. The main pool is also so nice and warm! It’s centrally located and Myrtle beach is a quick drive. The shuttle to surfside beach was great! We would absolutely stay here again!

Was a comfortable 2 bedroom apartment. Pools and Jacuzzi could use more attention. And VERY high pressure sales for the timeshare INVESTMENT.

The only downside to the state was being asked to attend a timeshare seminar. The staff was very nice about getting declined, but it was uncomfortable being asked to begin with when we were there for a family vacation and only looked for a nice place to stay. The amenities were great, my children loved the lazy river and the arcade. My toddler had a great time on the splash pad and my teenager loved the villa. We stayed in because she had her own private apartment upstairs. It was a great time had by all.

Beware. We checked in and they gave us a room with a loft we didn’t book! We had booked a 3 bedroom condo. They said that’s all they had available.even though we booked 6 months ago. We had two elderly grandparents and two children 8 months old and 16 months old so a loft room was not going to work for us so the babies could sleep. We made several calls to speak to management. Said they would look into it and get back to us. After 24 hours we had to call again. Finally someone called back! Had to spend the first night in the loft room and was finally found another unit like we reserved the next day.however, we all had to repack everything up and move to the new unit which took away from our vacation time. Was a very stressful! Most activities at the pool cost to do them.The pool was nice but would probably not stay here again…

We rented the 2 bedroom loft condo. The Master bedroom was separate from the other bedroom, which was nice that everyone got their own space. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The kids really enjoyed the pool and lazy river. It's conveniently located near lots of fun places to visit.

Wasn’t expecting to be sort of forced to attend a vacation plan session - should give option to opt out at check in instead of being referred to the other desk
