Secret Harbour Beach Resort

We came for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect - quiet & relaxing. We only left the property once to go on a snorkeling boat trip. The staff was friendly and kind. Debra & Sophia (housekeeping) were a delight to talk to and get to know. The food at The Patio was really good - we had dinner there every night except one. The gift shop was well stocked with all kinds of good things. The only negative were the biting insects - my legs got all bit up. We would love to come back again.

This resort is truly a gem. We stayed for 7 days, and could easily have stayed longer if we could have. The resort is very safe and clean, beautiful tropical landscaping all over the property, excellent customer service from the towel guy to the bar staff to the concierge. The food at the patio and the sunset grill was excellent, had lots of options especially if you are travelling with a picky eater like I was. We rented a one bedroom condo that was clean, furnished with comfortable chairs and couches. The bed itself was a bit creaky, but comfortable. The AC also worked fantastic. We had an amazing view of the beach from our balcony and we spent so many evenings enjoying drinks on it and taking selfies with the sun setting behind us. The beach was fantastic, water was warm and clean and I got lots of amazing snorkeling photos. There were plenty of chairs and umbrellas and beach towels. This was our first time visiting the island, and everywhere we went when asked where we were staying everyone said that Secret Harbour had the best beach of all the resorts on the island. If you are sensitive to mosquito bites, be sure to buy some bug spray at the Dive Shop, my legs got quite bit up sitting at the bar the first few evenings until I realized they sold bug spray there. The only thing we found challenging was when we arrived at the airport and went to grab a taxi, it took us a bit to find one (one that was managed by the airport taxi stand that is) that wanted to take us to the resort since it was farther away. They cram as many people in their taxi vans as possible, and having travelled all the way from WA we were exhausted. Next time we will definitely hire a car from a private company to take us to the resort (because we WILL be coming back!). We had zero issues with any of the taxis that the resort called for us during our stay when we would leave and explore the island.

Our bathroom smelled like dead shrimp for 3 days . Reported to front desk but no one bothered to address the issue. I had to hold my breath to is the bathroom

Our second stay at Secret Harbor and as comfortable as the first. The room we were first assigned involved climbing up and down numerous stairs, a problem with a grumpy knee. They quickly switched us to a lovely room but with a bath tub/shower. Nope. Second move was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Secret Harbor has maintained its privacy from the cruise ship crush, which we greatly value.

We chose to stay here for snorkeling at the property, which we did 11 years ago but stayed at a different place. It seems all of the units are privately owned and hotel managed. We opted for a beachfront King Suite. Overall it was fine, a few things we noticed were there is an approximately 6 gallon water heater, not enough for 2 adult showers. Kitchen sink faucet was almost falling out of the sink, and lastly the door lock was a little difficult to lock, just needed to position the door in the exact position. I apologize if this seems trivial but people have choices on where to stay, and they just want everything to operate the way they should.

Beautiful, clean property, representative of the island culture. My only complaint was the rooster that kept crowing all night.

Secret Harbor is a beautiful property. Picturesque, lovely beach. Only negative is that check in time is 4:00pm. Check in should be earlier. You loose too much on your first day

We actually didn’t stay here but we did book here. We ended up choosing a different hotel and Carol was kind enough to refund us after listening to our story. We had lunch at the local restaurant there and it was really good. If we ever come back to St Thomas this will be our spot.
