The Mansion at Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club

Booked a reservation through Booking.com twice but the wrong dates were reserved the 2nd time. Booking.com said they would help but did not. I called the resort and spoke with Front Desk Manager - Claudia. She was very resourceful, empathetic, and friendly. She made updates to the reservation and connected me directly to the hotel so that I would not have to deal with Booking.com. From start to finish she made the stay incredible. I am not sure if I would have wanted to stay without her! She ensured our reservations we well taken care of and myself and guests felt like we had VIP service even during one of the busiest weekends of the year. I am not sure I could have asked from better service and connect from a resort!

The Mansion at Ocean Edge is a lovely getaway - whether a one night or week sojourn. We’ve stayed here in late spring, summer and most recently in late October, an off-season time when the ocean does not beckon. Yet, it was enchanting. Service is 5-star, comparable to a top cruise ship line or a ritzy urban hotel. Our room was spacious, comfortable, with perfect HVAC, decorated with taste, and all the amenities a top hotel provides. A surprise gift of fresh cookies, exquisite chocolates, quality bottled water and a note were waiting in our room when we arrived. Two days of golf on their exquisite, pristine course, during overcast days, with 22 mph+ winds, and temperatures in the low 50’s was exhilarating. The unusual wind added to the experience. Breakfast was sumptuous, dinner delicious in their main restaurant. The lawns and landscaping were impeccable, with flowers still blooming in the cool fall air. It is a treat to visit this resort during off-season and avoidIng Cape Cod’s summer crowds. Especially as hotel staff maintained a high level of courtesy and helpfulness. I would return in November, even if temperature dropped another 10 degrees and the wind gained bluster.

Michael and I just returned from a getaway trip to the Mansion at Ocean Edge in Brewster, MA. We chose this hotel for its proximity to a lot of Cape Cod. We were looking for a home base to explore the Cape but where we could also lounge in the room for a bit. We chose to get a corner suite. The grounds to this hotel are beautiful, stunning even. Driving in, we were very impressed with its beauty. The GOOD: All of the staff are very very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and had a ton of space including a kitchenette and two bathrooms. Our bed at night was SO VERY COMFORTABLE and the bedding was very soft. We had two balconies and the loungers on the balconies were incredibly comfortable. The BAD: We came to this hotel at the end of October so we expected that the hotel would be in its low season. But there were NO bellmen to help with the bags. We drove around to our parking area to meet with the head of maintenance who would help with the bags. And there we found a set of 10-15 steps to get to our building. And no way to get bags up the stairs except to haul them up the stairs. The maintenance guy (whose name I have forgotten) was absolutely WONDERFUL dragging our bags up to our room. There is simply no way to avoid the stairs unless you have a handicap placard. This is something I wish I would have known ahead of time. While I don't yet qualify for a handicap placard, my knees are pretty bad and I generally want to avoid stairs. Another disappointment was with a name like Ocean Edge, I thought I might have more than a distant view of the ocean. The UGLY: Now to get to the furniture in the living room portion of the suite. There was a sofa bed which had clearly seen better days. When you sat on it, you sat slightly off balance because one side of the sofa was higher than the other. I can only imagine how uncomfortable the bed inside the sofa would have been. Thankfully, that was not something we needed to try. I asked my husband to grab a chair out of the bedroom to sit on as my back could not take sitting slanted as I was on the sofa. I will need a solid chiropractic appointment following being in that sofa. To stay in a room for the price we paid for a corner suite, I would expect that the furniture would at the very least have been in good repair. Across from the sofa. pushed up next to a wall was a divan kind of thing which had also seen better days and was also very uncomfortable. When we arrived into the suite, I was looking forward to the fireplace in the living area. Unfortunately, it did not appear to be working. We called to the front desk and an engineer came up to try to solve the problem. He was unable to do so but the problem WAS fixed the next day which was nice. The location for this resort is exactly what we wanted. An easy drive to most of the Cape. But I am not sure we would stay again (or if we did, I might consider inviting my chiropractor with us)

Dimi is incredibly responsive and helpful! Beyond the call of duty. This morning, I asked him to do me a complicated favor while he was busy with his routine. He interrupted everything to help me. Service like that transforms a guest experience.

Beautiful rooms and very comfortable beds. The locally made chocolate was a nice surprise. We went during the recent Nor'Easter, and our time there was rained out. They graciously gave us a credit to use on our 2nd night stay, as we left earlier to find drier activities in Boston. We appreciated their customer service.

I have been traveling to Ocean Edge since I was a child so when it came time to celebrate my wedding anniversary I knew right away where we would go. We arrived during a rainy weekend with a nor'easter on the way, but it did not at all damped our experience. The staff had upgraded our room for the night and set out sparkling wine, desserts, a balloon and card to help us celebrate. I was so impressed with the care and appreciative to have such amazing treatment.

Our group hosted 2 simultaneous events at Ocean Edge. It went great! The planning team, especially Alina, was so helpful and attentive. They were able to accommodate multiple group celebrations and activities (beach bonfire with a bar). The group of 20 had a great time and great things to say about the staff and atmosphere!

Facilities and general appearance is fabulous. Beach bar was fabulous and the Terrace restaurant was spot on. Staff all friendly and efficient.

We were in the East Wing room 144 and whilst the room is lovely and the outdoor terrace nice you do lose the sun early but its still a lovely room.

Beautiful spot for sunset drinks! Dimi was awesome at the bar and the view was amazing. Came for a fall trip and will hopefully be back in the spring.
