Lido Beach Resort - Sarasota

This place was great! Rooms are spacious and very nicely remodeled in the tower that we stayed in. The staff is very helpful and friendly and they treat you better than most 4- and 5 -star hotels: they don’t nickel and dime you and even pass out free ice cream at the pool and free popcorn in the rooms. The beach itself is beautiful with white sand and just enough seashells that you can collect them but you don’t hurt your feet when you get in the water (this was an issue for us last year on Marco Island but not here in Sarasota.). The pool attendants are genuinely helpful and do their absolute best to find you a chair even during busy times. Yes, there’s no free breakfast but our rate included a credit that we were able to use for breakfast and that basically covered the whole thing for 4 of us. My husband didn’t like the big black barriers on the beach ( the beach chairs are behind it) but other than this I can’t think of any complaints that I have. There is a small laundry that takes coins—I was worried that while I tried to find coins someone else would use the only washer, but it wasn’t busy and I was able to get coins at the restaurant in the lobby and get my laundry done without issues. I hope to come back again! This may be the best beachfront hotel that I’ve found in Florida!

Exceptional service with Mimi, the ASST. GM. She made our stay special before we even arrived. Everyone one was so helpful! Starting the Joe the valet, Cynthia at checkin and Bryce the baggage assistant. Bryce not only brought up our luggage but set everything up in our room. And reviewed the property amenities. He was very professional. The Drift restaurant is yummy and fun too. We are already planning our return for next year.

The staff at the Tiki bar was amazing. They really engaged with patrons at bar and made awesome drinks. Tariq, Torie, Doug, Shelby, Alex and Dennis all provided excellent service. The Tiki bar had a good choice of food items and the food was delivered promptly. We were there everyday during our stay. The beach service was also good. Food and drinks brought to your beach chair!! Although, they could have been more staff to serve that large beach area. The Drift restaurant was also impressive. Great food & drinks and awesome views of sunsets.

This was our second time at the Resort and, once again, we were impressed with the exceptional service from the front desk, the pool, and at Drift, the eighth-floor restaurant. Though the beach was being redone, which made for some noise and lack of access (not the resort's fault), everything else was wonderful. Special thank you to Mimi, the Assistant General Manager, for all her help during our three week stay. The rooms in the Tower are beautiful, especially those with an oceanfront view. We look forward to returning.

This beautiful gem of a resort was the perfect experience for our family of 4. Staff really went above and beyond from the second we arrived. Arrival and departure staff, manager John, Gabo, and Joe were all so attentive with helping welcome us, helping us unload, tend to our bags, all while asking how the can help us plan for fun. They made sure we were aware of all of the amenities provided by the hotel and local activities suitable for our family. Pool and beachside staff was so attentive in helping us find chairs and towels everyday and kept the pool deck running efficiently so everyone could find a spot. Cleaning staff did a top notch job on our room. The entire property was always so clean and there were always staff members asking if they could assist us. I've never stayed somewhere where the staff was so attentive and on top of everything. We never stood around needing anything because someone was always there to offer assistance, and in a completely unobtrusive way. It really was amazing. We felt we had everything needed at our resort for our family, a market with coffe and breakfast, beautiful pool and tiki bar with restaurant, elegant dinner restaurant drift, beach chairs and umbrellas, and game area poolside with games for the whole family. Will definitely be returning!
