Amazing site, it's like an archaeological treasure. Pool's the best in Ganada. The place looks ike a Spanish mission. Breakfast was very good. They greet u with a complimentary orange drink whenever your in the lobby. It's close to the ferry , too.

"Great quiet location close to everything!!!"

10.0

Most amazing and tranquil pool. Adrian and his staff were phenomenal. We felt like the only guests there as it was so private and the grounds were so large you could always find a beautiful and quiet place to unwind. The restaurant was in our opinion best in the city!!! Perfect flavours, large portions, and excellent service!!! Thursday night jazz with Lolo and Eric is not to be missed!!!

"No hot water and a poor response to match...."

4.0

First, beware as there are literally dozens of hotels about town named Hotel Granada. I believe the one I visited is the 'original' which is concerning regarding the quality of the others. The hotel is between the town proper and the main promenade down the hill at the lake. My stay was disappointing, although with hot water would have been adequate. After no hot water, a visit to the room by a staff member who was not 'maintenance', my explanation to him in Spanish of the problem, no resolution was offered by the front desk and management.

"The worse service ever. "

2.0

Was like the twilight zone. The staff were literally trying not to make any tips. They didn't give us change when we paid w a 50$ us for one drink. When we asked for change they made us go walk to the bar and get it. Major weird vibes at this hotel. Like it was owned by a cartel boss who makes sure people don't come back. It was a nice looking hotel but so strange. Don't stay here!!

"Grand old Hotel"

6.0

The hotel while large and impressive looking had some disappointing features. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was very good and the grounds well maintained and the location was good. The one thing that kept this hotel from earning a 4.5 rating was the plumbing we had no hot water, low water pressure in the shower and the shower did not drain properly.

"Nothing special"

4.0

We booked using hotel.com and paid $70 more than we would have if we booked in person. Also we didn't get the king bed we requested. There was no water till late in the evening and when it was finally restored it was cold and brown. The hotel offered us a free dinner to make up for it but we had already eaten elsewhere. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Beds and pillows were not comfortable. Had we paid less money I'd have no complaints. After all, it IS Nicaragua. But for what we paid we expected better. A week earlier we stayed at Hotel Plaza Colon, right on the main square, and it was excellent for almost half the price.

Fell in love here! The pool is magnificent, rooms have great charm, and it is QUIET and near all of the important attractions. Two blocks from Lake Nicaragua it was just great. Breakfast was free and about 4 stars

"Great pool, ok service."

6.0

Our room was at the end of a hall wich would have been great if workers were not finishing renovations two doors down. Although they were careful not to make too much noise, the material they were using had a very strong chemical smell... Also, service could improve with a bit of training. As the hey could not find our Expedia reservation, they asked to show them the reservation to make sure we were in the right hotel....
