I loved the old Victorian feel. I stayed and one of the cottages and it was perfect. Staff is great and location is fantastic. (Very close to down town Columbus and short drive to Benning)

"Sweetest B&B"

Pretty amazing, decent walking distance from Broadway and Riverwalk area. (Wear your walking shoes though!) The owner and management were extremely attentive, recommended excellent options for wine & dinner & desserts. My new go-to for visiting the fam!!!

Property was in the historic section of town and very close to downtown. Just a few blocks away was the less desirable part of town. Very limited breakfast , no toaster, no hot foods, ice machine made very little ice.. there was a hole in the wall where they were working on the tub, the smoke alarm in the bedroom was hanging loose by the wires in the bedroom, there were heavy cobwebs and a large spider above the shower, a hole in the ceiling about the size of a dime above the bed, If you wanted the change the volume on TV you had to do it at the TV, the remote didnt work or was the wrong one for the There is heavy small gravel around the main house for a walkway and you had to drag your luggage through it to get to your room. I give it a 3 star out of 5 rating,,, wont recommend it to people and wont go back.. Staff was nice, but place needs some work..

"Great to come back after the Convention for rest "

10.0

My wife and I had reservations at another hotel but we happen to see this Bed and Breakfast. It was totally awesome. The only negative and it was not really a negative was we had to ask for bottles of water. However, I asked if they had any water and it magically appeared. Milk, juice and yogart was always available. We will definitely go back to this Bed and Breakfast. Oh and I must say that "Marty" was certainly so helpful and very much knowledgeable about the Rothschild-Pound House. Thank you Marty and I hope to see you again soon.

This is a great property in a very good location. We did not meet the owners which is one of the parts we like about bed and breakfasts. The location is quiet and walking distance to one of the best downtowns for a town this size. We plan to come back. Next time we hope to meet the caretaker/owner. We never met anyone "in charge" to introduce ourselves or get the Wi-Fi password.

"So close but............."

6.0

There were a lot of unique and neat things about the is bed and breakfast. Unfortunately the upkeep was lacking. Lots of areas that took away from the experience like missing outlet sockets, bathroom areas that needed recaulking due to discolored old caulk, some wood rot (not totally uncommon for historical bed and breakfast inns), wet paint including some that got on my clothing. Lack of signage to help with check in, lack of staff to check in in the first place. A bed and breakfast is not our traditional check in but there was no signage anywhere and repairs and/or remodeling everywhere. In the end it was like a Hall and Oates song "so close but so far away." Hopefully they will complete the repairs and remodeling because it has so much potential.

It was charming and tastefully decorated. We had a late check in and was given good instructions on how to find our suite. It was centrally located and easy to find.

"Very shabby chic historic"

6.0

The location was great. The owners were very nice to let us check in early (2 vs 3), which we very much appreciated. It was a little surprising to enter and find the first floor public rooms were being painted/renovated and unavailable for use. I realize this is a historic house, but things were a little on the shabby side. The curtains in our bedroom were very faded and torn. I appreciate that there was a refrigerator in the bedroom but felt a little nervous about using it. It was perched precariously on a cabinet/shelf and every time I opened the refrigerator door it shifted forward since it wasn't completely supported by the shelf. We have stayed at many historic homes turned into B&Bs and this was less than expected. Breakfast was packaged fruit cups, packaged honey buns, packaged cereal, Keurig coffee. They did have fresh oranges, juice and milk which was nice. The people were very nice and very friendly, but our expectations weren't met. If we had been staying for more than one night, we would have made other arrangments.
