The location was excellent and the staff on the front desk were very helpful. The wine and nibbles are a nice touch and we loved sitting in the courtyard enjoying them

The property could do with a facelift. The carpet in the hallway had seen better days and the kitchen area was very grubby. Many in here have said the breakfast was poor and I have to agree. Very little choice (you just get what you’re given). The frittata on our second day was watery and tasteless. For the price of this hotel I’d at least expect a decent breakfast. Our room was also very small so avoid the Carter room. Bathroom could do with being modernised too Overall whilst the location is great I think it’s very poor value for money.

Breakfast was not great, the place it was served would be great for a spring to fall time, but it was very inconvenient for the winter: like sitting outside at cold

Ideal location and not noisy

Breakfast was mediocre and on some days not timely. Eggs and bacon should always be available, with two to three additional options. Coffee/tea were not available at the breakfast area each day; that's when we had to walk upstairs to serve from the main house's kettles. What was served had good flavor.
