Villa Varadero

Very noisy due to other guests partying and poor sound proofing. Great location and beach

Spent 10 days at the resort with two friends. We were 100 percent satisfied with the resort. The staff was very accommodating to our needs. The food was good home style dining. Lots of choices at each meal. This is a family friendly resort so it was fun to watch local families enjoying the facilities. The beach was fabulous and there were plenty of chairs , longes at the beach front. Transportation is at the front of the resort. Can’t complain about anyone or anything. Been coming to PV for the last 20 years usually twice a year to various resorts. It all depends how much you want to spend and the location. Varadera is good value for your money.

This place is adequate for a short stay.

Beach was nice, one hour massage for 500 pesos was wonderful. Overall, the property is very tired, rooms, spacious, but not overly clean, food was OK. They advertise five restaurants, but in reality there was only one open at a time selection of liquor was sparse, although staff poured generously when asked. We requested a king size bed and had two doubles. Overall disappointing, fortunately, we were only there for two nights, had I booked a one-week stay I would have been extremely disappointed.

We had the free breakfast buffet option, which is fantastic if you love Mexican food as I do. Otherwise the endless fruit, omlettes, pancakes, cereal and yoghurt should satisfy. It is a "Mexican" hotel so a little noisy. Tower 4 is newer, but across from the beach. The rooftop has a great view. Staff are very helpful and courteous. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Great sand beach; we walked the beach every day. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Hotel is very dated. Our patio door would not close, sink would take 20 minutes to drain, shower lever would not stay open had to hold it on. Very noisy hotel as there are vents in the room that transfer all kinds of noise. I wouldn’t stay again or recommend

The beach is absolutely massive and lovely. There are plenty of palapas and beach chairs. The food is good. We were there for 2 weeks, so then it got a bit repetitive, but if you are there for a few days or a week, it is very good. When we stayed there, there were a lot of local people, and the staff does not speak much English. But they were extremely pleasant and professional. Especially Leo, the bartender. A quiet man that just goes out of his way to be helpful and kind. The only negative comment I have is that the music is ridiculously loud. The resort is not huge, so there is no place to hide from the music. Even if you go to your room, it blasts through the entire building. The music choice is good...both Mexican and North American songs...new and old. It's just the volume. We asked them to turn it down, and they did, but in a few minutes it was right back up there. Extremely hard to have a conversation with friends, when the music is that loud.

Great beach. Close to airport. Wonderful a la carte meal but it was the only a la carte Meal. Food was good but confusing schedules for the restaurants. Arrived Friday but our room was not cleaned on Saturday. Disappointed in cleaning - washroom had things on shower wall when we arrived and it was still there when we left

Good location, near the airport also. Not a lot of options for food, but overall it was ok. Easy access to the beach and walking distance to convenient stores and other restaurants.
