Dancing Bear Lodge

It is a stunning location, with all the cabins nestled in the shady forest. There are areas for a little walk, bicycle to use and a river across the road where locals cool off from the heat. I appreciate the breakfast coupons, which can be used for breakfast or later until 4 PM, in case you want to hike before the café opens. The food and service are excellent. The property also boasts a great restaurant.

My biggest disappointment, and probably why I won't stay at this hotel for more than two nights, is the cleaning service. You have to use a provided card to indicate what you want cleaned, which is easy to fill out, but why not just clean the cabin thoroughly? Maybe that was the reason for unpleasant smell on the cabin. For instance, I requested clean towels; they delivered them but left the dirty ones on the floor. One night, they didn't clean at all, leaving us with a lot of trash. After a busy day exploring, we returned to a cabin that smelled because the trash wasn't taken out. Not doing cleaning if a part of vacation. Otherwise, Airbnb would be better option

Such a cozy place. The staff were very flexible and helpful. The amenities provided were essential for a family on a road trip.

The cabin locations were perfect - in the woods and away from the road and other services. Breakfast was available from nearby cafe and/or coffee shop. Selections were limited, but sufficient. We were able to pick up breakfast items the night before for an early morning departure. We really liked the Dancing Bear Bistro. The menu selections were interesting and the food was excceptional. Our server for both nights was Zoe and she was excellent.

Would be good if cafe could open earlier than 9 AM.

The location is fantastic! Tucked away to enjoy the peace and quiet, but close enough to all the action. The accommodations are almost anything you could ask for! We received a welcome basket with waters and snacks for a hiking trip. The bathroom was clean and updated. The bed was extremely cozy and comfortable. We were given breakfast cards for each morning's stay, and we had a choice of where to go. They have free bike rentals, and we took advantage of that and rode bikes along the amazing trail. Would highly recommend!!

Beautiful place. Great location to the Smokey mountains. Had my first tick encounter, other than that a great stay in the area!
