French Quarter Inn

The location of the hotel is great, just off Market and Church. It is easy to get to great restaurants, shopping, and historic areas. The hotel is quiet and comfortable. The rooms are upscale and large with multiple chairs, a good bed, and a high end bathroom, with luxury toiletries. They throw in a free breakfast buffet and a late afternoon wine and cheese tasting. The concierge service was excellent.

5 stars! Our stay at the French Quarter Inn in Charleston was outstanding. From check-in to departure all staff members were warm, professional, and genuinely attentive — special shout out to the front desk staff for great restaurant recommendations and helpful local tips. The room was spotless, beautifully appointed with luxurious linens and a comfortable bed, and the turndown service was a lovely touch. The complimentary breakfast, evening wine/cheese reception and nightly cookies and port wine were excellent and great added benefits. The hotel’s location is perfect — quiet, charming, and within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. Overall, it is an exceptional value for a true Charleston experience. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend the French Quarter Inn to anyone visiting the city.

5 stars for me! Hotel is well located - walk to everything. City market, carriage rides, main shopping district all super close. Staff was professional and efficient all around - quick check in, good car valet. Room was lovely and spacious (King). Breakfast, wine/cheese, and late nite cookies were all excellent! One note for future travelers- there is a building being built directly across the street and at some point that is going to mean noise - particularly for the rooms facing that side. Something to be aware of and ask about.

The over the top wonderful perks (food) and exceptional service. Everyone had a smile and cared.

This boutique hotel was perfect for our 25th anniversary trip to Charleston. The location in the French Quarter was walking distance to just about everything. The hotel is immaculate and perfectly maintained. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and more attentive. They even gave us a complementary bottle of French Champagne and a silver serving spoon as a gift Kristin in particular deserves extra praise, but everyone, including Red was so attentive and helpful. The valets took care of our car and luggage so that we could start enjoying the city immediately. The receptionists helped us with changes of reservations and even baked us fresh cookies when the chocolate chip ones were out when we returned from our evening

Are you looking for a unique stay where staff take care of you as if you were long-lost family? French Quarter Inn is exactly where you need to be. The attention to detail, from check-in to check-out, you will be pampered to your heart's content. Rooms are luxurious and inviting, cleanliness is an obvious point of pride, and staff are genuinely friendly and take the extra effort to ensure your stay well be memorable. A very special shout-out to Kim. She made our stay perfection with extra special touches. Presentation of morning breakfast is considered an art based on our observation. The wine and cheese social hour are a cut above and them cookies, milk and Port Wine as a night cap are just plain special. Where do you find nightly turn-down service these days? You got it... at the French Quarter Inn. Go ahead and pamper yourselves. The location is located in the heart of the French Quarter with numerous dining options within walking distance.

It has all been written in previous reviews, but our experience was also a definite 5. Service was outstanding from all we encountered during our short stay. The breakfast and wine/charcuterie hour were both amazingly varied and delicious for an included amenity. (I’m only sorry we missed the nightly milk & cookies) Our room was spacious, beautifully furnished and included the most specious balcony I’ve seen in a city hotel. We both had the best hotel sleep we can recall. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we didn’t encounter any other guest noise (and we know there were guests in the surrounding rooms.) The best was the noiseless heating unit. We didn’t take advantage of their pillow selection as the pillows provided were numerous and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location next to the market and waterfront park. The aquarium and the shops and restaurants on King Street are all within walking distance. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Our favorite spot when we travel. They always take great care of us and have the friendliest staff. We especially liked Izzy. Looking forward to our next visit
