Usually not a review writer, but upon arrival to our hotel, the Palliser Lodge in Golden, BC , there's a note stating to check in elsewhere. The hotel isn't staffed, like there is literally not one worker in the entire building. If you need anything you have to call someone & wait for them to drive over to you. Upon arrival the room next door to 106B were having a dinner party, we couldn't hear our tv & had to have it up loud to drown out their noise to hear . They didn't end their party til well after posted quiet times. Other end of hotel seemed very quiet.listening/hearing 6 hours of people talk was annoying. I'm sure staff had to know people live in room next to ours. Yes we could have asked to be moved but after a day of hiking & unpacking stuff, we weren't about to pack it up n move. Something was strange as some rooms had doormats, come to find out people live in this hotel . The Nepresso spoons were cloudy so we thought that's just the way they are , nope they were dirty, like someone licked the spoon & left it & staff didn't wash them. We are on a 17 day Canadian Rocky trip & this was by far the worst hotel we stayed at. Since this building isn't manned it was extremely dirty , elevator was disgustingly dirty. Definitely will never stay here again.

More explanation of where to go to check in. It has to be the front of the building at glacier lodge to check in. The back of the building is key only. Elevator is not working. Other than that it’s a very nice stay.
