St James Hotel

The location is good for catching up with family.

The hotel is looking really tired and requires an upgrade. Breakfast was very poor. Waiting for food to be prepared, when one item is ready, nothing left of the others. No one seemed to be watching what needed replenishing. No orange juice at all (both days), awaiting delivery. No white bread , again awaiting delivery (both days). Waiting nearly 25 mins for coffee to be brewed, no milk available. No sugar in the pots on the table. Never experienced anything like this previously. It was very badly managed. The duty manager was called in and was quite alarmed at the state of food (or lack of). Within 10 mins she had organised the staff, chased up the food on the buffet, had tables cleared and motivated the staff in to actually working their shift. An apology was given about the breakfasts, and I should have received a call from management this morning, but it hasn't happened. Overall, very disappointed with the service.

Goed, zeer betaalbaar diner en uitstekend ontbijt.

Locatie, kwaliteit van de kamers en badkamer. Smerig, uitgeleefd. Hoognodige aandacht noodzakelijk.

The staff were superb. The resturant fiod was good. The coffee tea was plenty. The TV in the room was good. The bed was hard but comfortable. The towels were clean daily.

The room was in need if a total redecorarion. The carpet was threadbare. The shower cable leaked. The bath sealant needed re doing.. The wood tops need re varnishing.Needs updating in the rooms.

This hotel is disgusting, it smelt bad, and it was filthy. It was that bad I didn’t even stay there. I booked to stay at the Holiday Inn Express around the corner.

This hotel is unacceptable, it is filthy and completely not acceptable. Sticks of smoke baked into the walls. I did not even stay at the hotel, I immediately left and booked the Holiday Inn around the corner.
