Inn on Putney Road

Highly recommend staying at the Inn on Putney Road! My husband and I came here for a relaxing and idyllic winter "babymoon" and this was the PERFECT place to stay! He surprised me with where we were going and what we were doing and it blew me out of the water! This was the best way to spend quality romantic time together at this charming, quiet (with a little bit of intimate "socialness" about the Inn with other guests that is extremely sweet), quaint, and welcoming inn. The grounds are romantic all covered in the snow with a beautiful view of the lake behind the home. We were kindly greeted (Paul and his staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming), explained everything about the home and room throughly, and told to make ourselves at home--and we did :) (sitting by the fireplace in the living room, playing pool and board games, grabbing delicious tea/coffee from the kitchen area, and relaxing in our room by the fireplace/enjoying the view of the lake). The food was SPECTACULAR! Paul is a fabulous chef and makes breakfast a special experience (and very accommodating to dietary restrictions). They have thought of everything to make this a wonderful overall experience. Area: Brattleboro (2 min drive away) has super cute stores and restaurants and it is fun to drive through the town and see all of the charming older homes. This Inn stay offers quintessential Vermont charm and we cannot wait to come back to see it's beauty in the Summer (perhaps with baby along for the ride)!

Our stay was amazing. Paul made sure everything we could want was taken care of. He made the 2 most incredible breakfast meals my wife and I have ever had, literally. Another couple was staying for their 5th time. Couldn’t be more pleased with everything!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn. Great breakfasts, the host is amiable and aims to please, and the grounds surrounding the Inn are very pleasant and relaxing.

Very nice stay at the Inn, The owner, Paul, was very accommodating and has thought of most everything you could need. His breakfast was awesome, only wished we could have stayed for the second morning's meal. Was nice to sit in yard and enjoy the surroundings. Only critique is an update to the plumbing in bathroom as the handles were not very cooperative.

The inn was beautiful, the owner was on site and accessible. The breakfast was superb. One of the. Eat bed and breakfasts we have ever stayed in. Will return.

Cozy bedroom with a fireplace and snacks, fantastic breakfast each day, great location, and a very friendly and helpful host.

What a special place! This Inn is beautiful and the service was exceptional. Paul was such an amazing host. And the breakfast he prepared.......5 star! You must stay at this B&B. Quintessential Vermont!

Eine gute Adresse, wenn man auf der Durchreise in Brattleboro halt macht. Nah genug der Stadt mit Restaurants und hübschen Geschäften, trotzdem sehr ruhig gelegen mit einem idyllischen Garten der wunderbar zu diesem schmucken und charmanten "French House" passt. Mit einem wunderbaren Frühstück, gekocht vom Innkeeper, serviert von seiner Frau waren wir gestärkt um die Umgebung kennenzulernen.
