The Westin Monache Resort, Mammoth

Great service. The staff are friendly and accommodating. My room was spacious with a nice view. The bed was comfortable; I was able to get some good sleep.

Decidedly average. Dated place, very dark, reception staff mediocre at best, challenges with foreign credit card which despite prepaying for room online, they would not let me check in as their system didn’t accept the foreign card. Duty manager equally unhelpful, it’s policy sir, so no real customer focus. When I gave my internal feedback as requested by Westin he then emailed me back a bunch of defensive aggressive responses. Rooms ok, reasonable fit out, nice kitchen, but again, dark interior. Car parking is lovely though, lifts slow and old. Dined at the in hotel restaurant, pretty poor. Food quality not good, service slow and very expensive, which was not expected out of season. All in all, best of a bad bunch in town, but very really tarnished by the snotty approach from the staff and no customer centricity

Got upgrade but to front of hotel overlooking construction and delivery noises wish we could have been on other side with views of mountains

Super hotel in a beautiful setting, spotless room, great breakfast, plus we really enjoyed the Whitebark restaurant, reception staff were more than helpful, especially Karoline, who went above and beyond to look after us.

Overpriced for a hotel in need of a renovation. I understand this is happening all across California, there is just no money for repairs. Staff was friendly.
