La Mon Hotel & Country Club

Lovely family break over Halloween half term, children loved the bouncy castle & pumpkin carving. Our daughter loved the goodie bag on arrival. Room was spotless. Ate in the restaurant both nights, only drinks in Charlie’s bistro . Food was lovely can be pricey with the additions. Breakfast had your usual hot food, only realised on our last day you could order omelettes or poached eggs. Staff were very friendly. Pool was a bit on the cold side but you got used to it. Swim gates need to be work £3 each

Attended a significantly sized function and experience was fantastic from check in to check out. Reception staff very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Staff on function and bar areas were attentive throughout as were the team who hosted a very busy breakfast service. The hotel made every effort to ensure all guests were treated well making the stay, in what was a spacious, very clean room, comfortable and enjoyable.

Food was very good considering they were catering for over 500.

Good value overnight stay. Bedroom very well equiped with comfortable bed. Nice sized bathroom with shower gel etc. Tea/ coffee & biscuits provided. Staff helpful & friendly. Good car parking and WiFi.

My husband & i got married here on the 22/10/2025 & it was just perfect. From the very beginning of our planning journey La Mon was so helpful. We had Natalie help us plan & she was on the ball, back & forth discussing our requests & needs. We had the most amazing day, absoloutely no stress & everything was just perfect! We plan to come back & stay on our 1 year anniversary for a nice celebration! Will most likely be back before that for an event that they hold. Top class wedding venue. Stayed at this hotel two weeks ago I spoke to receptionist then duty manager and assistant manager .the duty manager just shrugged his shoulders when I told him our rooms had not been serviced or replenished for two days. All I got was apologies from the assistant manager from four star hotel . It was not my fault they were laying carpet and underlay in the corridor so they couldn’t service our rooms. Also I include a picture of a chair that was in our room in my opinion this is not for star service.

I ate in the bistro with my family on Sunday. Ordered a chicken burger without paying close attention to the menu as I was dealing with my two young kids. I was surprised when the bill arrived to see that the additions to the £19 burger (which came with chips) cost £2.50 each. So, £7.50 for two small onion rings, cheese and two slices of bacon. My mum ordered a small glass of wine which came in at £9 which is on the pricey side too. Overall the food was decent and the kids enjoyed the bouncy castle but the prices left a bit of a sour taste.
