La Haut Resort

Where do I start. Someone else's hair was in the shower,ants wete all over the counter and floor. Dead mushed mosquitoes on the lamp shades and side tables. The toiletries were half used and I'm currently hiding and will be sleeping in the bathroom for the night because I just saw a bat in my room and no one has responded back. I will be requesting a refund. The property itself though has a beautiful view of the Pitons.

Gorgeous properly and awesome staff. Beautiful views, first class hospitality and everyone is so accommodating and helpful. The only thing I would say is the wifi isn’t super reliable for working remotely if you have to do video conferences, but we made it work. The staff was willing to reset the router when I asked and helpful with so many other things. Truly an exceptional experience and our favorite stay of our trip.

I arrived at the property as a solo female traveller and there was no one there. There was no security on gate and the office was locked up. This was at approx 4.40 on a Saturday afternoon. There were a few people in a seperate bar area but they said hotel nothing to do with them and ignored me. Luckily taxi driver waited with me for approx 30 but in end took me to another hotel. I was devastated after over 18 hours travelling. More over life reported this to Expedia and they have still not refunded me even though I had to book another hotel through them for the night at over $300

Maybe we were just lucky but it felt like we had the place to ourselves, whether in one of the pools or at the restaurant. What little service we required was met with a smile and a quick response. The views are unbeatable, too. We’d definitely return.

Loved it

Best view, relaxing gorgeous infinity pool and loved the cashew room! Our balcony was huge with hammock and chairs, mango tree outside and horse and donkey nearby. Food was only ok but this was a great first night on the island, felt very welcomed and comfortable!

Beautiful grounds and awesome views

Ok, so we only stayed here because our flight got cancelled and almost everything else was already booked. It beat sleeping on the airport floor. That said, La Haut is not a “resort” by any stretch of the imagination. It needs some serious TLC and I would not stay there again. Nevertheless, the view was beautiful and the food at the restaurant was delicious. We made the best of it.

Positives- great view of Pitons, (unrelated but on site) restaurant food good, fabulous infinity pool Negatives- 1.Accommodation-we are staying in a ‘superior’ room. It is not tired in its decor and furnishings, it is exhausted, i.e. circa 1930, In a separate stay a week ago.we had a different room with a lovely generous balcony with a view, but also tired , with a less than clean feel 2. Service- Got a problem after 4:00 when the closet of an office closes?Tough luck till the a.m. 3. Grounds- crying for TLC- discarded bits & pieces sprinkled about, cracks, potholes, and could be good commercial for before and after paint job, this being the before. 4. Location- either you have a car or you get ready to open your wallet for taxis

Don’t get me wrong the scenery here is beautiful and somewhat breathtaking. Though how long have you got until you actually die… I believe it very much depends on what you’re looking for coming here. It’s beautiful to relax, though neither convenient or luxurious. Extremely basic, like back to 1960 period. Big enough space, though more like a campsite amenity. An old fridge the age of Methuselah himself and air con whilst effective very restricted to one small area. You get what you pay for of course. Breakfast is… rationed and very strict on the menu; an elaborate twist on choice of eggs; fried scrambled or boiled and meat is ham or bacon? Though adequate. The breakfast waiter was such a pleasure. His manners, respect and attitude was second to none. Really wish I’d remembered his name. Lovely, humble guy studying graphic design. Really wish him all the best and hope he excels in life! There are no facilities on site - not whilst we were there anyway. I left behind a pair of trainers - and they arrived to my next designation in a day or two, totally unexpected, which was such a lovely gesture
