Blue Lagoon Resort

Location was good.

Run down and showing its age. King bedding that was poor quality and sheets that didn’t fit bed securely. So your sheets needed constant adjustment. Taps that dripped constantly. Generally needed a good top and tail.

The ground floor suites opening directly to the pool.

Great location in a quieter suburb. Easy walk to beach front, shops and restaurants, close to Captain Cook highway.

I loved staying here, tennis court, pools and nearby shops kept my kids happy, plus there was no city stress, it was perfect for us.

Our dishwasher didn't work unfortunately. Some of the retirees stared at the kids from their balconies if they had a later swim (before 10).

Spacious bedrooms with beautiful balcony looking over the lake. Wallabies coming up to the balcony. Perfect location to just walk down to the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Lagoon Resort. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a two bedroom apartment (even though we didn't touch the 2nd room). It kicked off our stay with a positive feel. Our room looked out onto the Lagoon which was nice. The pool was lovely. Its temperature was spot- on for a pleasant afternoon dip and its cleanliness (as were all the outdoor areas) were great. The location was also very handy. A short stroll to the beach or to the local bars and restaurants meant we didn't need to use our car unless we travelled out of Trinity Beach. We'd definitely try and stay there again if we return to the Cairns area.

The WiFi needs to be improved.
