The French Partridge,

I had the loveliest afternoon here. The garden is a little sun trap and the enclosed outdoor area off of the bar gives an indoor feel whilst still being outside. The place is decorated lovely but the food was the star of the show. Fantastic quality, incredibly tasty and good value. The staff were incredibly friendly, going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and catered for. I will definitely be going back with the family for a meal. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful location for our family to get together for an 85th Birthday. We booked to stay for one night with an evening meal for a party of 12. The staff were welcoming and could not do enough to help. The whole evening was relaxing and easy. While there was a bit of a wait for the food, it was definitely worth it. Each course was fantastic. Beautifully cooked and presented and great portion sizes too. It felt like a really homely and friendly atmosphere. The hotel was fully booked and there was an overall warm and happy atmosphere. So nice to see an independent hotel doing well and busy. We will definitely return.

We had a fantastic stay. The hotel was full of character being a Listed Building and The Manager, Tony, gave us a wonderful guided tour of all 15 the bedrooms and the spa in the cellar (which was beautiful). Dinner was absolutely amazing - plus one of the best Full English breakfasts I've ever tasted. The bed was super-comfortable and the bedroom was huge, spacious and beautifully decorated - no two bedrooms were the same - which added to the charm of the hotel. Lovely lounge and fantastic bar and simply a lovely ambiance overall. A huge car park and we had a really warm welcome from Tony when we arrived offering to help carry our luggage. We would have loved to have used the spa but arrived late Friday and were visiting Silverstone on the Saturday for the Michelin Le Mans Cup (my boss is a racing driver in his spare time) and our only regret was not being able to stay longer at this beautiful, relaxing hotel with really kind and lovely staff.

The bed was super comfortable, the host gave us the extra towels we requested without hesitation and waited for us to check in. We reserved breakfast for 9:30 am, and came in early but the breakfast room tables were full. The host took our coffee orders so we could enjoy our coffee while we waited. Breakfast was made to order and tasty.

Lovely evening and food was excellent, scallops, halloumi, fish and chips and mixed grill. Recommend and will definitely return

The cooked breakfast. Comfy bed and nice pillows.

The TV didn't work in my room. The roman blinds didn't roll up. The bathroom was tatty in places, not finished well. The bedroom door was really hard to close. Only 3 hangers in the wardrobe. No view from my room at all. The cheap packet croissants and packet crepes at breakfast rather than fresh pastries and pancakes.
