"Good room and location but poor service"

Good room with super king size bed and views over the harbour. Cleaned and refreshed daily. In the heart of Oban so all restaurants, shops and the distillery within walking distance.

We had issues with the restaurant and bar. Because the hotel caters to coach parties there never seemed to be enough staff. Drinks ordered at bar but delivered to table a good while later. Whilst the breakfast menu was good and cooked well the buffet element was generally sparsely stocked as it hadn’t been restocked following a coach party. One morning we waited 15 minutes for a table in an empty restaurant because tables hadn’t been cleared. Poor service for a four star hotel! A Scottish guest even apologised to us English visitors for the impression the hotel was giving!

"Loved Oban and perfect for travelling round that area."

Room, en-suite both large, comfortable and really well serviced each day if you wish, with everything used replaced. Good location and excellent reception staff

One member of staff let the stay down. Took 20 minutes to get a drink from the hotel bar so we didn’t use it again. Breakfast for the first three days was a nightmare with barely any food on the buffet and frankly quite rude service. The final two days, with a different member of staff it was excellent with fast service and plenty of food to choose from.

Wonderful staff, friendly and very helpful. Cosy, big room and bed kept very clean by the friendly staff. Excellent location, but still peaceful despite the close proximity to the main street.

"Great stay"

This property is right in the heart of town, is very clean and comfortable, our stay felt luxurious and relaxing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious. It’s a great stay!

Everything was excellent.
