Definitely a beach motel. Maybe the last resort. But it is very scenic for a wedding- with a little pond, a rolling hill, and a gazebo. Stairs are narrow and steep. Internet is non existent. The desk clerk kept repeating “ just go to google on your phone and touch join.” Even in the office we couldn’t ever find the Wi-Fi connection. The air conditioner blew cold air on our heads all night. A small window AC, it is stuck right next to the headboard. (Room is so small it is literally next to the bed) TV is so small you lose half the picture. Captions are particularly fun to read when you can only see the middle. It is a short drive to South Haven, but be prepared to walk a bit to the sand part. (South Haven is a fun little place) Best thing is the nice toiletries. The management asks you not to drink your own booze and charges for beer and wine. We drank our own!
What a great place! A bit cozy for 3 of us in a suite, yet adequate. Loved the property, the staff is amazing, and we'd definitely return!!

This accommodation was ok. The picture that popped up on Expedia for the room that I rented was totally inaccurate. Also, and most upsetting, there was a whopping $45 charge for my small dog for the one day. I was told on check out that it would be $45 no matter how many days you stayed. That did not make me feel any better. That is a lot of money as a surcharge for one day. I slept next-door to a family with a baby for most of the time that I was there. Is there a surcharge for a baby? I think not. Let’s be reasonable with our pet fees!!
The Sun and Sand is a nice peaceful place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing and tourist attractions. The rooms are small, but clean and updated.
Every one of the staff that I encountered in our brief, one night stay, was kind and courteous. The room we were in was on the smaller side, but just fine for a night! There was plenty of room to set up our dogs kennel for overnight. The room was clean and comfortable. Loved the outdoor covered patio outside our room! We ate dinner there that night, and saw people playing cards later in the evening. The bed was comfortable and clean. Pool was bright and clean with plenty of seating. The entire property was very well kept. Would definitely recommend staying here!
We absolutely loved the place and we will definitely be coming back for another stay at the Sun and Sand resort. This place and the people were so nice and friendly and welcoming we just loved it and can’t wait to come back again thanks for everything
