Nice place to stay. Clean and cozy!
Rooms were extremely clean, and updated. Nice lighting at night. Our stay was during the 2nd week of October, and the weather just turned cold and windy. We will be back when the weather is fitting for outside activities. There are many things to do outside, at the resort. Such a lovely place, with very friendly, helpful staff. I don't know if the heat system would be effective enough during the cold, cold months. And would recommend putting a towel rack in the handicap bathroom, above the sink. Certainly not a deal breaker though! We really loved the place.
Loved this place! We biked the Kal-Haven trail and although with a bigger budget we would have stayed in town, this place was a pretty quick ride into town so budget friendly and convenient. Although you need to ride 8-10 minutes to get to town, we were able to buy cold drinks at the front desk and order pizza to our room so we didn't have to ride to town after dark. Our room heat wasn't turned on,but the maintenance person arrived with 15 minutes to turn it on. Room was clean and bright and the property was nice to walk around. There was a swing at the pond that was nice for sunset and a walking path through the woods for a nice stroll. We even went into the walking path to see the northern lights (blocked out the too bright lights around the property). It looks like you can rent this place for a wedding or family reunion. It would be perfect! I'm sure it's crowded and loud in the summertime, but if you're a family with kids it would be a blast. The pool looked clean and there were loads of tables to picnic, lawn games, fire pits, etc. Close to town and beach. Definitely ridable on our bikes, but not walkable. South Haven is definitely a summer town, but very pretty in the fall. Lots of stuff was already closed for the season, but plenty to do. The Michigan maritime museum is worth the visit and they have a little river cruise you can book. We wish we would have done it. The river is really lovely! Overall, highly recommend!
Was very impressed with the high level of maintenance of the property and grounds! I did not use the pool as I had not brought my suit, but it was sparking clear and inviting. The room was very quiet, though there was some traffic noise from blue star highway in the morning hours- people going to work. Enjoyed my stay.
This place was just what I was looking for, for a spur of the moment getaway. Staff was friendly. There is a huge back yard area for volleyball or campfires. It was perfect

Sitting on the porch watching geese swim and deer graze is about as peaceful as it gets. The lady that checked me in was very nice and helpful. The room in the beach house was a little small but i appreciate the antiquity of the place.
They have everything at the desk. From groceries to beer. All you do is ask and they will provide it. So easy and nice.
It was cute and old timish. The staff was great. I wish they served breakfast.
