Sun N Sand Resort

Needs an update, but okay for the price.

We like that it is out of the way, away from town, but still very close. The cable tv wasn’t working. We reported it and said they would send someone. Almost two hours later we went to check and were told it’s out all over and they’re working on it. That’s not their fault but they didn’t let us know that nobody was coming.

Room had no fan in bathroom, no dresser or luggage rack, no extra toilet paper or Kleenex, fridge froze everything. Outside lights made it impossible to sleep even with blinds (beige).

Really cute property. Staff were terrific. Rooms are small but cute and immaculate. My only complaint is shelf/surface space. There's really nowhere to set anything - not a lot of surfaces which made it a little awkward. Other than that, it was just fine.

It was okay, I will stay there again if I can't find any other better-looking options for the same or cheaper price. (I am a very nitpicky person, with sensory issues and high OCD so take this with a grain of salt) The room was a lot smaller than I expected, the floors were kind of dirty, I almost went out to buy a broom. Our sink was clogged to the point we could only use it once a day or else it would get too full. Our bed kept sliding away from the wall by just sitting up and watching tv. I personally hated the fact the air conditioner blew right on our faces. Lastly our main door had a bit of a gap, and we killed 5 stink bugs that had got in within our three-night stay. THE POSITIVES, the staff were great, polite and thoughtful. We almost didn't make our check-in time, and the front desk lady was going to leave our room unlocked and give us directions over the phone and have us sign our papers in the morning. The sidewalks were regularly cleaned from the geese that were around. The air conditioning worked well. The hot water worked well and lasted my entire shower. We had plenty of outlets for our things. Microwave/coffee maker worked fine. I loved having extra trash bags available for when they got full. Lastly the views. I wish i had more time to lounge around the property because it was beautiful. the pond was pretty, the grass was well taken care of, they had many beautiful flowers and plants. many shaded areas to just relax and enjoy the outdoors.

I read many reviews of this place before I booked, so I knew what to expect. Everything was just fine for the price for our stay. This place is very cute and quaint but could definitely use some love in some areas. I would probably stay again. The pool was sparkling clean and the pond area was gorgeous. I love the old motel feel but the rooms just need some love. Everything in the room was extremely clean. Everyone we encountered either working or staying were very friendly. It was a nice stay. The grounds are beautiful.
