We stayed in a “single” room in the main building. It was ok. It was just 2 nights, and we were really just there to sleep. The bathroom- it was bad. No counter. You have to use one hand to hold the faucet open (hot and cold knobs that only let water out while you turn it) and that made basic washing up just take so much longer. Water pressure/spray was very thin in shower and tub was very narrow with a curved bottom so you had very little space. At the very least a U-shaped shower curtain rod would improve that. One side of bed had an actual nightstand, the other was a wobbly chair. There was a “wardrobe” that stored microwave and mini fridge and small coffeemaker. Needs a dresser so you can set things somewhere. We did not use pool, but the pool area looked well kept, there were always families enjoying it when we were coming and going. Grounds were lovely, and the woman at the front desk was very pleasant. A quick drive to town/Meijer/lake so a good location.
The room that we had was small but in the quaint comfy way, outside amenities (pond, pool, walking trail, picnic tables) were very nice. Great stay for an affordable price for those not planning on their adventure being the hotel itself.
Clean, staff is so kind and helpful, and it is close to downtown and the beach.
The people working there were awesome. And it was a short drive to the beach and shopping.
Bed was ok but bedding has pilling. Staff was accommodating. Preteens were bored with little to do at hotel.
I loved that this place offered trails, although they did not have water access to the lake. We did not have hand soap but they did provide shampoo and conditioner. Our room smelled of mold. It was extremely hard for us to sleep as the beds had a loud plastic liner and the air conditioner turned on and off in such a loud way that we were woken up by it.
We loved our stay at Sun & Sand Resort. The property is a little dated but everything was clean. It’s a super relaxed atmosphere & had a great outdoor space.
The air conditioning was not up to par and a needed TV remote was not provided. The desk closes at 11pm. Otherwise the location and parking were convenient and the room met our needs.
The Room was clean. The outside of building are pretty rough and dated. There is no bar/ cafe as advertised. They sell bottles of $20 wine,and beer. Had coffee. Pool was nice. Would stay again. Just know what to expect next time.Will have to travel for meals. Town is close.
