Did not like the ordering system from garden with QR code. Much easier just to order from waiter.

The Hotel is perfectly placed for a trip to York as you can walk into the City Centre easily. The Hotel has parking, although it was payable at £18 for a day. On the whole, the Hotel is very attractive but could be improved.

Staff were polite & pleasant, although there was a lot of skirt pulling by a couple of the young girls, whose skirts were way too short - hence the continual pulling down. There were a lot of very young staff working & to be honest, few more Senior looking staff to have things under control. Our room was very small & no air conditioning!!! Temp outside was 36°+ & not much cooler during the night. In addition no complimentary water either. There was a nice outside eating & drinking area, but they stopped serving drinks outside by 9pm & so you had to order at & walk through Reception, out the front door of the Hotel, to the garden to drink. This could do with being looked into as the current Summer looks like being a scorcher & they would benefit financially with a few simple changes. Also, no one asked if drinks were to be charged to the room, so we paid on a drink by drink basis. The Hotel was also scan the QR code on the table for ordering?? Not usual for a Hotel garden? It was my husbands Birthday, which they knew, & there was no mention of it. Not a Welcome Card or Happy Birthday.Card, let along a glass of wine! I think the Hotel could do with an injection of cash & someone to look at it from a Customer perspective as this could be a gold mine of a from a Business point of view & a much nicer place to stay with a few tweaks made
