Schloss Huenigen

What a lovely stay we had at this beautiful property. Our family of four stayed in the loft which is hard to describe but is the best combination of luxury in the outdoors. It was a large room which fit a king bed, two twin beds for our children, and a living room. It had two toilets and one shower cubicle. All very tastefully done. They even provided us with a safe and mirror when we complained about the lack of the same. We were in the middle of a beautiful garden. My kids just ran around and enjoyed the fresh air. The hotel staff were kind, friendly and efficient. Not to mention helpful. The food was good but the choices are limited. Its close to Bern, Interlaken and Thun. A great place to relax and unwind. I highly recommend it !

Sehr nettes Personal mit guten Essen ind schöner Hotelanlage. Schöner Spa und Fitnessbereich genau wie wir und sas vorgestellt hatten.

It‘s an event location. First, the nice outdoor spots were all blocked for a wedding and then a business event. Dinner was ok, but kitchen staff clearly overwhelmed by all the events going on plus serving hotel guests. Staff was very nice and friendly. But don’t go there for a romantic weekend. Rooms are high-priced, Spa nothing special. Rooms are renovated, our bathroom not however. Worst: We heard party music from the wedding until almost 2am in our garden-view room. In a drawer there were 2 packs of earplugs and a note that said, In case you hear ghosts roaming around in the castle. We‘ll, the humor was lost on me since we spent a lot of money there (dinner too). Sorry, that‘s a no go for such an establishment.

Ok it was a two hot days and consequently nights. We had a "Boutique Room". Very spacious, modern, good beds, well equipped. But we missed a small fridge and foremost and all an A/C. We tried to sleep with open windows. Bad idea! Unfortunately our room was above the terrasse where guests were served with dinner and drinks until 1 a.m.. Do make it worse, there is a rail track at about 200 yards with trains running until late night and very very early in the morning. But: the hotel is situated in a very cozy park with lots of attractive art sculptures. The overall layout of the hotel is very pleasing. Service is excellent, the restaurant serves fine food. The breakfast buffet is extraordinary.

Überaus freundliches Service-Team. Einfach wunderbar, besonders die Damen am Empfang und beim Frühstück waren wirklich herzlich. Insgesamt war ich sehr zufrieden und werde beim nächsten Termin in der Gegend wahrscheinlich wieder dort übernachten.

Ne vous attendez pas à un château mais plutôt une maison de maître...les chambres sont propres et modernes mais très mal insonorisées entre elles et de taille moyenne.

My experience in the hotel was not good. They asked me to wait 2 hours to get my room ready and they didn't inform me when it was ready. Also, I didn't get the room I've booked. If you don't have a Swiss mobile number it will take you time to be connected to the Wifi. It's a 4 stars hotel, so they should provide you with a free public transportation card, but they did not. Though, they charge me with a tourism tax. There's nobody to help you at the SPA. Though, they charge me a resort tax including the SPA use. There's no mini bar in the room. I could not sleep on the weekend as they was a wedding in the hall right under my room.

El hotel es muy bonito pero tuvimos un desafortunado servicio en el restaurante. Más de una hora esperando que sirvieran lo que había pedido y cuando al fin lo recibí (en mi habitación) estaba tibio y la carne la había pedido well done y llegó medió cruda. Aunque la excusa fue que tenían un matrimonio que atender, creo que eso no los salva de igual atender a los huéspedes. A pesar de ser un bonito hotel, no volveremos.

Personal: Außerordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Nette und kompetente Unterstützung sowohl beim Ausladen der Koffer, wie beim versenden von Briefen oder in der Ausfertigung der Rechnung. Auch das Servicepersonal im Restaurant stets nett und kompetent. Besonders toll: Das Frühstück. Höchste Qualität und für Allergiker sehr geeignet. Das Ambiente natürlich ebenfalls traumhaft.
