Schloss Huenigen

People were very friendly in all areas where we met someone. The gardens too are beautiful, parking is easy. The 'spa' is a let down - it is unmanned and in my view does not qualify to be called a Spa. We had dinner there and it was good. A set meal with quite limited room to move away from what was on the list. Still the staff were as accommodating as they could be and it worked out fine. Breakfast was good but not great by any means. Our room was on the 3rd floor and was quite small but adequate. The price for what we had, room, dinner and breakfast was far too high. As someone else commented this is a business / seminar hotel and should be sold as such. Would we do back...I would say No, not at that price

4 stars hotel located in a beautiful area. The castle and surroundings are very enjoyable. Rooms are spacious, light, comfortable, clean and quiet. The food in the restaurant as the brunch the offer are honestly incredible, as the lovely service all the personal give. We’re very impressed with the attention, specially from Alexandra Schmitt, she was very kind. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed just one night in this beautiful hotel. It's beautifully located in a small park just a 15min walk from the train station Konolfingen. I have been at the hotel several times and reserved a junior suite. Unfortunately they have no recognition of guests. The room was clean and beautiful. However we missed the small personal touches that make you feel expected and welcome like a personal note or a flower or a good night sweet. We were disappointed that there was no bath tub as I had strong pain. The wellness area is very nice. It's a bit annoying that one isn't told one needs cash for the locker. That is a bit a hassle. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Overall a beautiful place and we will be back.

I stayed there because I visited a big customer in Konolfingen next day. For business travellers I can recommend this place....beautiful garden (or park!)...enough parking, nice people. Restaurant was a bit expensive for me...but other options are in walking distance...

Hier stimmen Preis & Leistung nicht überein... Zimmer = 15m2 für CHF 231.00.... völlig überrissen (m2 haben wir leider beim online buchen mit Handy übersehen...) Das Frühstücks Büffet hat keine grosse Auswahl zu bieten... Der Chef de Service (w) und der Praktikant waren zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich, übriges Personal... und Reception..."Freundlichkeit kann man lernen...oder schulen..."

Wir verbrachten vier Tage unseres Urlaubs in der Schweiz und unternahmen von Konolfingen aus Ausflüge nach Bern, Luzern und ins Emmental. Diese Ziele waren vom Hotel aus auch bequem mit dem Zug erreichbar.

First of all I expected a real castle. The remains of this castle are really a few, the rest is business for events and work meetings,so it's a real business hotel (as you can see from the part of the hotel they added lately, with no artistic features at all). Huge, anonymous (grey doors make it also sad) and with some points they should improve. The parking place: it was raining, we had huge bags, and the parking space was really distant from the castle, we refused to park, we called the reception, and they told us ´that's it´. My man didn't surrender, and went to talk with them, so he found, there is another parking place that is nearer. Why didn't they tell us at first? The room was beautiful and clean, but had only a coffee maker. We asked for a water boiler to make some tea (we specified we wanted also the tea), they gave us only the boiler. We had to go personally to the reception to have two bags of tee!!!! The spa: the spa is located in the new area, so you have to walk in a fresh air corridor to reach it. Don't think to go there in your bathrobe,or you'll get a cold. If you want a locker (who doesn't) you need to have 2 CHF, unbelievable in my opinion, due to the fact this should be an all star hotel. No one told us about it, no signs before arriving, so when we arrived to the spa we had to come back to take our purse and change coins. The spa in itself is cute, with lot of different things to try, as the sauna, the showers, the Jacuzzi. You have also free hot tee. The restaurant: the waitress was gentle, but the food was really overpriced. We took the carabinero, that is a little deep sea shrimp. Apart from other small stuff, there were only two small pieces of it, I couldn't even taste it. The pork fillet had no flavour, with only three small potatoes and no vegetables as a side. The cheeses were the best part of the meal. But really, too expensive for what you get. The breakfast: the room needs serious refurbishment, the ceiling hat some dark spots, it gave me the impression or something in decay. The food was fine, especially the rosti made at the moment, but there were too flies, I really couldn't eat. And the price, giving all these facts, is really too high. Never more.
