Very interesting hotel with beautiful gardens...! The rooms do not match the feeling of the exterior as they are a little cold and bare...

very nice place, but when you arrive, be sure to go to the back , the main gate does not allow you to go to the reception.

The setting of this hotel is excellent and less than 30 min away from Bern. Its very peaceful at night and the people warm, hospitable and so kind. We took our 5 month baby there and genuinely enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Bern or simply wants to get away for arms peaceful time. Congratulations to all the people of the hotel. Great job! We walked outside in the beautiful open park and enjoyed watching the cows from the nearby meadow.

Outstanding all around most beautiful and romantic place and grounds were drop dead gorgeous, thanks for help in finding this location.

Great place

This property is a hidden gem! The grounds frame a hotel that is a unique blend of the very old and the very best of what is new. Our "castle" room transported us back centuries. The authentic old key was the perfect prelude to a room that was simple yet elegant. We slept as we have never slept before underneath an exquisite hand painted ceiling. The room was quiet with gorgeous garden views and a luxurious bathroom with deep soaking tub. The staff was marvelous and helped with even the smallest request or detail. The were sharp as well as polite and it was very obvious they were concerned that each person's stay be ideal. The breakfast was presented in an artful way with a generous selection of cheeses, meats, cereal, juice, breads and an unbelievable fully automated coffee factory! We will be back. I just hope soon enough.

We had a lovely room, main issue was the hotel restaurant. The menu's were german only and we could not understand any of it. The waiter had to explain each item before we could order.

We made a reservations on Tuesday night around 11pm. We decided to cancel that part of our trip, so we called less than 8 hrs later to cancel our reservation but they refused. They charged us over $240. I will NEVER make a reservation with Hotel or Hotels.com.

The pictures did not do this justice, the Hotel is set in fantastic gardens rooms are clean and in a contempary style. Breakfast good and staff extremely friendly . Would definately come again .
