What a great place to stay, in what in some ways is quite a quirky hotel. Staff members were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Evening meals and drinks were of an excellent quality and very reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices; lots of fresh fruit. The hotel is close to the town centre and is an easy walk to the old Portuguese quarter of Fountainhas. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was good and the staff was very helpful. Location is great.

My room was a bit loud and I could hear boat parties along the river. Worst of all - and this is my personal experience and is not a reflection on this hotel - a group of young people were shouting from the corridor to their friends or family staying in the room opposite mine. This was at 1.30am and caused me to get out of bed to tell them to be quiet.
