AmeriVu Inn and Suites - Waconia

It was quiet.

When I first got there they were going to put me in a room that had a broken door lock. That made me feel very uncomfortable.They did offer me a different room which I took. My question is why would they put me in a room they know the lock is broken. The breakfast is terrible. The hot tub didn’t work.

I liked the bed and the room after I had to get the first room.

I checked is an walked a long time to my room. And the lock didn't open so I had to walk back. At the time I was coping with a bad knee and and had to use a cane. I was pissed. Then the nightstand outlets didn't work. Had to move the nightstand try to figure out had to make that work. Again, I was pisssed.

We felt the breakfast has gone a bit downhill in the past few years as the hotel has aged. There are less choices, eggs, sausage, waffles, limited pastries or toast, yogurt. There was no attendent in the breakfast area or at the front desk unless you asked/rang bell. It's okay place to stay, just realize it's an aging facility. Beds were comfortable.

Bed was comfy, towels were very nice, love the pool and sauna unfortunately the hot tub was out of order.

You had to make sure the door shut tight and look like a little mold by the shower! The hot tub didn’t work which really disappointed us! The garbage in the breakfast area was overflowing at 4 pm when we were checking things out at our arrival!!

Some parts were good, some food was greasy

No service in the room, no clean towels, garbage cans overflowing, no cleaning staff in the hallways to assist us.

My check in was less than stellar. I was hand my room cards, when to my room neither card worked. I returned to the reception desk, they reprogrammed the cards, they still did not work. I returned once more to the desk. I was told I will accompany you to the room after I check in these folks. I returned to the room waited about 10 mins. No one showed. So I called the hotel, some one else answered I explained what was going on. She came up to the room to try once again. Still no go. They ended up putting me in a different room. I went out for the evening, returned to the room, guess what the card did not allow me in the room, they had to reprogram it it again. I was then fine until the night before I was checking out when it happened again. At this point a new badge was programmed, and a mechanical key was offered if that did not work. Breakfast is hit n miss, 1 day the eggs and meats are hot the next they are cold. Please hire people who know what they are doing.
