Service at reception was great. Bar service was v v slow and disappointing. Looked like they didn’t really care.

Beautiful property with excellent outdoor space. I loved that there was a lift which sometimes you don’t get in an old-styled hotel. Also loved that there was a pool and gym.

It was extremely hot with no AC. Although fans were provided, they made little to no difference in cooling the room. The windows are restricted in opening fully so was unable to get much fresh air into the room. Also there isn’t a mini cooler/fridge to keep beverages cold.

Beautiful property and outstanding gardens. Front of house staff lovely and friendly as were the restaurant staff.

It was great to sit outside to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat - however the standard of cleanliness in the outside area wasn’t great. The whole time we were there we didn’t see a table cleaned and often glasses were left for ages and ashtrays full.

Very tired decor. Poor food and service. No Aircon

Lovely building and grounds.

Heaving with wedding guests everywhere, no AC, allocated a west facing room with windows closed and curtain open which with the sun shining in made the room 40c or more. Got given two fans, the windows would barely open. Still unbearably hot in morning. Reception area cramped and claustrophobic due to the number people about. Dogs in the hotel. Bar under staffed. Restaurant staff not good enough, had to get up and find someone to bring the drinks we had ordered. Food was fine but not to a standard to match the venue appearance.

Beautiful property and well maintained. Pool lovely and clean, bedroom upto date and clean and the grounds are so interesting and historic. We went to Dorking town centre which was nice and only 10min drive away.

Nothing
