Trim Castle Hotel

Trim is a lovely town. Lots of great walks and it is home to our beloved County Meath Golf Club Club. There is plenty to do. We met many visitors from over seas . We often stayed in this hotel back in the day but not for a long while. We enjoyed a great night with dinner there recently and we were very impressed. The first contact is always most important and the young lady who arranged our booking set the scene with a lovely manner and great knowledge. We had a lovely spacious room. The bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were first class. They cater very well for allergies. There was one small problem on one occasion but it was expertly and kindly sorted to our complete satisfaction. A young lady server Lily was just brilliant. We also really appreciated the expertise and kindness of Sadhbh and Gillian on reception. We will be back.

I have to say i thought very hard about giving a review and it's actually my first time to review any where, we went to the carvery possibly about 6 weeks ago the food was absolutely lovely so nice that we had visitors staying with us from denmark and brought them out for dinner. When I was being served the man with the black hat on his head took up a plate and brought a cloth or a tea towel of sort and spat into it and wiped the plate . I was absolutely stunned and asked what did you do that for thats disgusting and he expected me to use the plate . I couldn't believe what I saw i said did you just spit on that cloth and wipe the plate im not having that plate he didn't look happy put the plate behind him some where and got a different one I don't know why we didn't leave then, but went over to wait and pay . When we sat down my husband and myself couldn't eat our dinner and our guests didn't hear what had happened but when they said he used that cloth to wipe very plate ,We went to say it to the manager who said he would have a Word with him and he did offer us a meal for another day but we would never never go in there again it was disgusting and I thought disgraceful thing to do im still in shock thinking about it. I would give zero rating but there is no option.

Spacious, parking, food was lovely

Bedsheets were stained. Lobby music could be heard all night in our room. Pillows weren’t comfortable.

Where do i even start?! Bobby was a 100/10 server for our communion. A mighty gentleman all together!!! Without a doubt such a bubbly personality and smiliest server I've seen in such a long time. We had such a splendid time!
