Hampton Inn Utica

Overall, good place to stay with several good restaurants in the neighborhood. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly. I had to have to bathroom floor stipped and refinished as it was cleaned with the wrong product which made it very slippery. Breakfast was standard fare.

Terrible hotel. We stayed at this property one night on our way to Maine. As soon as we drove to the entryway upon our arrival we saw that the trash can was overflowing and garbage was on the ground around it. The glass door was dirty, and as soon as we entered the lobby of the hotel, and headed to the front desk to check-in, we could see it was not well maintained and totally outdated and dingy. The receptionist was rude and not friendly at all; however, we were assigned a ground-floor room, which is what I requested, so I appreciated that. The bathroom of our hotel room was in poor shape (caulk around base of tub was old and dirty), and the shower curtain magnet did not work so the curtain clung to you as you were trying to shower. Crazy. The only good think about the hotel were the beds, which were comfortable. Breakfast was terrible, the employees were messy-looking and unkempt, and we checked-out as fast as we could. The worse part of it all was that dingy room cost us $322.16--for ONE night! Again, CRAZY. We often pass through Up State New York when traveling to the East Coast and stop for the night, but I will never again book this Hampton Inn hotel located in Utica, NY. They need to clean an up their act (empty trash cans, clean their glass/windows, get new carpet and upholstery) and update the property--and hire more professional employees who care about their appearance!

I have visited many Hampton hotels in the past 10 years,this is the worst of the worst.bathroom was too filthy to use, no ventilation in bathroom, dirty floor and shower.overpriced for the location

It was clean , well kept and well stocked.

My overall stay was ok. I requested to be moved to a different room due to issues in the bathroom, faulty toilet, non functioning hand held shower wand. I moved to a smaller room and was supposed to get a lower rate but was told at checkout that because I used a third-party booking service that they couldn't adjust the rate. I will definitely think twice about using a third-party service in the future.

Nice property

Looks new. Very efficient, friendly front desk staff. Large room. Very clean. Bed is firm which isn't my favorite but I know is good for others. A little hard to find as it sits back from main road without a clear separate entrance.
