Great staff.. good location and value for the money.

My room wasn't the best one. I wish I was facing the occean.

This was my third time staying at Somatheeram, and again they managed to amaze with their kindness and thoughtfulness. Everything was perfect,the reception at the airport, despite our late night arrival, they allowed us to check in and go straight to our bungalow. As a result, the first treatment was scheduled in the afternoon so we could rest. The employees, from reception, service to the restaurant, doctors and therapists as well as the cleaning staff were always smiling and cared to meet our every need. After this two weeks of Ayurveda treatments I feel reborn! I can very gladly recommend this facility especially to people searching peace and wellbeing for body and soul.

We were asked to move 3 times throughout one week because resort was apparently booked up, although we booked it 4 months in advance. Resort is targeted at older audience and because we were young we were significantly disrespected. The staff was also rude and whenever you had any question or issue they would pretend they don’t hear you / ignore you . Also got used up old gowns and headbands from hospital in one of the rooms we had to move, and there was no hot water or heater for it. Overall got moved into manatheeram which is 3 star hospital whilst we booked Somatheeram and it’s 4 star and more relaxed for leather. Really horrible experience.

The location and the property was well maintained.

Some of the staff members were completely blank about what they need to do, and they seemed to be interested only in Foreign customers. And the access to the place was horrible. With very scanty taxi/cab options. And one of the managers at the property were treating us ladies and the taxi we came in, like we were illegal trespassers. Awfully bad treatment from two of them. And the property doesn’t have clear distinctions made on google maps, to assist proper accessibility to the location. We did get friendly treatment from only two specific staff members. And they helped us in some way.

Nestled in the lap of Nature. Superbly landscaped. Very quiet and cozy. Warmth of the staff, and their constant personal attention. Cleanliness of the property and its proximity to a lovely beach. High quality vegetarian food.

For seniors cottages at lower level is indeed very serious issue

The location was wonderful and the gardens beautiful. Loved the swimming pools and access to all the different pools and restaurants was great. The yoga hall and classes were great benefit. Food was good especially in some of the dining restaurants

access to beach could be neatened a bit as it goes through a polluted local area - the hotel could perhaps try to work with villagers to upgrade the area to improve for hotel and the local people . Pity the beach is so polluted too

The property has a great location, accommodation, pool and beach access

This is NOT a holiday resort, it is a holistic medicine and health spa. The food is all vegetarian with a healthy twist. Staff were not helpful unless you were asking about the treatments available. It was a very confusing place and we felt a little uncomfortable as we were expecting a holiday not hospital/rehab environment
