Extended Stay America Select Suites - Grand Rapids - Kentwood

The front desk claimed that I checked in too late and that they had given my room away but they still charged my credit card and it was more than the amount provided by Expedia. I’m still awaiting a refund and was left with out a hotel room for that night

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had. They did not give us the room we paid for and made no apologies whatsoever and refused a refund and then they had no breakfast as promised and the front desk closed at 10 and didn’t open until 10 am and the keys constantly didn’t work so we were often locked out of our room with no front desk worker

The front desk closed at 10 PM. When I checked out at 9 AM it was still closed. No breakfast no hot water only warm water to shower. The refrigerator and microwave didn’t work. Place just had a not so clean feel to it.

The room was very nasty also bugs in the restroom in the am when I woke up…. TV barely worked…. I want a full refund….

Entire third floor smelled like smoke, bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned. Carpet in hallway needed vacuumed

The lady at the front desk was nice. We came to her when we saw the condition of our room and unfortunately the hotel was booked so we were unable to switch rooms. Bed was clean and semi comfortable for what you paid.

We booked a non-smoking room and our room reeked in cigarettes. The lamps were broken and did not work, along with damaged lamp shades. Holes in the wall throughout the room. There were burns in the bathroom from what seemed to be from cigarettes. Overall, I would not stay here again. The following morning, the front desk was closed/no workers to be found. No breakfast like advertised. There are other hotels nearby that I would be willing to pay slightly more to not have to stay in the hotel again.
