Winston Lodge

Gorgeous lodge in a very pretty setting. Our room was lovely and had a nice big balcony to enjoy the views and mountain air. Breakfast was included and although this was fairly limited to yoghurt, cereals, hard boiled eggs etc these were available at all times (except late at night) and lots of drink options too.

Was a bit confusing on how to get in. Was told to use code if after 7pm but needed to use code anyway and front door was not obvious and at the top of a lot of stairs (not great with two heavy suitcases).

We loved the location of the property, close enough to drive into Golden but slightly out of the way so it felt more secluded. The lodge was beautifully furnished and equipped. The beds were big and comfy. We met one staff member during our stay and he was lovely and really helpful - even helping us with some washing. Breakfast was self serve but provided everything you could need.

It was beautiful, quiet and comfortable.

It was all excellent except the heated floor in our bathroom did not work, which made the bathroom quite cold on a rainy weekend. Otherwise everything was top notch.

Sehr schöne Lage in der Natur . Zimmer war groß / sauber / ruhig . Check in / Check out lief ohne Kontakt zum Personal. Kommunikation war gut vorab .

The room was spacious and had self serve coffee/tea and morning breakfast.

For the time of year we were there, ie no skiing, thought it was a bit pricey.
