Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront Hotel

Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted by several staff members. Everyone was friendly. Quick check in. Lobby and amenities are great. Nice bar and pool area. We did have a few issues. The rooms and hallways are in need of a remodel. We’ve stayed at several Hilton hotels and this one is by far the worst. We’ve never had a negative thing to say until staying at this location. The carpet in the hallways was heavily stained. The hallways smelled of poo and cigarette smoke. The trash cans by the elevators were overflowing and chicken strips were scattered across the floor. Guests were leaving food out by the doors to their rooms. It would sit there for several hours. The rooms and hallways are in need of a remodel. Several areas where paint was peeling. The trash cans in the rooms weren’t emptied prior to our stay. This is a pet friendly hotel so be prepared for a wet dog smell in certain areas. On our second night we were out at the hot tub with some friends for a few hours having drinks from the hotel’s bar. One of the employees came out and said “you do know that this area closes at 10 right ?” We knew but had lost track of time. We hadn’t seen these friends in Several years. The employee told us that we needed to leave. He was obviously having a rough day. The bed was comfortable and the a/c worked better than any other hotel we’ve stayed in.

The view of the lake was gorgeous and the bed was comfortable. I requested a microwave and it was delivered. Room service was fast and delicious.

The channels on TV didn't offer much.

Very beautiful Lakeview and quite peaceful

Insanely beautiful property and rooms. Very very pricey but we booked a single night for a staycation for out courthouse-wedding honeymoon. It was worth it. The staff was amazing, rooms were gorgeous, clean and comfortable. Right close to lake Hubbard and attached to a little lakefront Marina that had some casual and some high end restaurants. Would def recommend to anyone traveling to the area.

Wonderful hotel, excellent location, conveniently located on the harbor with many restaurants, sights and things to do nearby. Room was very clean, although a professional cleaning of the carpet may be indicated (perhaps not limited to just this room). Bed was super-comfy. Shower had good pressure and the shower head accommodates tall people (up to 6'6"). Bath products provided: Crabtree and Evelyn shampoo, conditioner, body gel, lotion; smaller bar of milled soap for the sink. Resort view was fabulous. Pool was incredible--big, well-maintained (thank you, Vito!), inviting. If you love the sun and staying in September: the lounge chairs on the south side of the pool remained shaded all day; lounges closest to the bar were the first to receive the sun. Pool service is limited (go inside to order from the bar, either wait or perhaps food will be brought out to you); Splash Bar was closed (perhaps seasonal?), although a dispenser of iced water and plastic cups was provided. We spent some time figuring out how to exit the hotel on the harbor side; two pool gates leading to the harbor were locked all the time; we exited to the right of the bar and followed the walk along the outside of the conference rooms to join with the rest of the resort area. Anna was great in the Marketplace, which offers Starbucks products (including Pink Drinks!). $24 breakfast buffet was worth it; breakfast sandwich from the Marketplace was just OK. Food from C&B Scene was pretty good. What kept the Hilton from 5 stars from me: I was unable to check in via the app. The app is the only way to check in. No one was able to share why I received an error. Room selection is tied to the app. C&B Scene was lovely, although a bit understaffed on a Saturday, resulting a few corrections to orders. Pool service would be a nice touch.

I really enjoyed the view along with easy and convenient access to entertainment.
