Fond Doux Eco Resort

This was the exact retreat I was looking for.....quiet, peaceful, private and in beautiful surroundings. We spent our time on our cottage porch in the pool and sun for 3 glorious days. The food was amazing. The chef even made a couple of curries for my British husband! The staff was so very friendly and accommodating. I can't wait to return.

Leaving it. It is isolated (which is good) so I do suggest hiring a car.

It was a beautiful property with lovely vegetation, the staff were friendly and professional, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Highly recommended

We had a lovely time at the resort, the property is absolutely beautiful, very green and serene with beautiful flowers and all kinds different plants and fruit trees, with the name of the fruits. 4 pools were all different and very relaxing. The staff was amazing and everyone made us feel welcomed and went above and beyond to accommodate us at the restaurant. We did encounter some issues with our 2 bedroom villa, Avocado house. We were told that the WiFi was down before booking, however, there were more issues with this villa. We had no way to call reception because phone was down, our microwave didn’t work, so we were unable to heat food. And worse of all, we had lots of bees in the master bathroom, over 12 bees, which startled us and caused a delay in getting ready. Not sure how they entered the villa, I must assume that there is a hole somewhere in the villa. I took a video and pics and showed it to reception but was simply told sorry, with no attempt to contact the manager or offer a reduction in our final bill, considering all the issues we had with the villa. That was disappointing.

I had been on the island for a month when I arrived, and this was a lovely, quiet way to end my time in St Lucia. Beautiful

Beautiful, lush grounds. Pure relaxation. Great food.

Location to Pitons and sugar beach. Beautiful foliage and liked that trees and plants had signs. Young girls working the restaurant and bar were kind.

Facilities and cottages are rustic, old, and lacked hot water in sinks. Paid luxury resort prices for a place that feels and looks like a summer sleep away camp. Front desk staff were very non-communicative and unhelpful. To take a cab anywhere (even to a restaurant 2 miles away) cost $70.00 (US) round trip - cash. Pictures in bookings are very deceiving and don’t show how run down this place actually is. Shuttle to sugar beach is nice but drops off far from beach with steep incline walk up and down. Caution if you have mobility issues. Seems like with so little effort this could be a neater place - guided nature hikes, a free or cheaper shuttle to the nearby restaurants or town, orientation to the “resort” when you arrive etc…

The meals were so delicious. The staff were great as well, very pleasant and welcoming. I specifically want to acknowledge Kershella, Clenton, Macy, Leandra, Suella, the lady who helped us create those delicious chocolate bars and the other restaurant staff. Thanks for helping to create such a relaxing getaway. I wish I was returning this weekend 😊 The fruits! So many fruits in abundance! That was also a highlight. Walking through the property felt like we were in the garden of eden!

Fond Deux is a gem. I definitely recommend taking the chocolate making tour, and maybe buying a few more bars from the gift shop! We stayed in a hillside cottage; bring good shoes because there was a lot of walking and steps to get to our cottage. The regular cottages are on level ground, so the walking is easier to get to those. Definitely find the Piton scenic trail behind the restaurant; it took less than an hour, and had the most magnificent view. Well worth the hike; the first half is dirt-stairs, most of the last part is boulders. The restaurant was amazing for dinner- everything we had was perfect. The frogs are quite loud at night, so if you're a light sleeper, maybe bring ear plugs. We rented a car and drove to the Tet Paul trail, sulphur springs, and Soufriere. You cannot walk to anything outside of the resort. The resort itself is covered in fruit trees; it was the most beautiful stay, and we loved finding out about fruits not native to us.
