Extremely unsafe experience – fire alarm ignored During our stay, we experienced a serious fire emergency. An electric scooter we had purchased and plugged in malfunctioned and caused a fire while we were not in the room. While the device itself was not the hotel’s fault, what happened afterward was. The fire alarm sounded for approximately 30 minutes and hotel staff did not respond or investigate. Staff later stated that alarms are frequently ignored because they “go off all the time.” A guest in the neighboring room ultimately called the fire department and entered the room, not hotel staff. Because the alarm was ignored for such an extended period of time, the fire worsened and we lost all of our belongings. Multiple witnesses can confirm the alarm sounded for a long period with no response. After this incident, despite the circumstances, my husband, our one-year-old child, and I were told to leave the hotel in the middle of the night with no assistance. This was an extremely dangerous situation that could have resulted in serious injury or loss of life. Fire alarms exist to protect guests, and ignoring them puts everyone at risk. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend staying here due to serious safety concerns.

How closely it was located to Graton Casino and other shopping areas.

It was advertised as being over 400sq ft. Having bathtub and being a suite with kitchen. Most units that 400 sqft size, have at least a love seat converts to a bed. Well it was around 200sq ft and a queen bed and a raggedy looking recliner. Bath didn't have function to hold water been on the road a bit and specifically more than anything wanted to take a bath and just soak and dissolve some of the body aches. Had taken niece with me reason I was hoping to have more sleeping accommodation for once I got tired at casino I could rest and refresh my mind so I don't lose all my money. Was going to leave niece there but place scared here that she preferred to stay in car. Had been there 20 min. Asked front desk if we could get refund since accommodation didn't match as advertised. He said most likely yes but would have to be done by manager. I've called several times and still have not received any resolution. It's been over 3 weeks now. For just about the same price I stayed at the Double Tree last time a great experience. Too bad they where booked. The excuse given was because I used the shower and a towel. I explained I didn't want a shower, you advertised this unit with bath tub but can't hold water? Am I wrong?

The staff has been very friendly and accommodating to help us make a little home while we were here.
