Extended Stay America Suites - Somerset - Franklin

When we arrived we were checked into a dirty room (kitchenette had spilled food, beard trimmings in the bathroom, etc). They moved us to a new room, no problem. There was a distinct smell of stale cigarette in the room but we were only there for one night. We were there for a wedding and found out we had a death in the family and had to leave the wedding reception early and go back home. We checked out within an hour to two hours of checking in and had to drive back to PA. I was told the manager would call me to see about even a partial refund. I did not hear from him so I had to play phone tag to get a hold of him and get an answer. Long story short - no partial refund for a death in the family.

Property looked nice, came to check in and they didn’t even have the room I originally booked. In our room there were a few roaches , pull out couch was broken and dirty !!

Very average hotel

My family checked in. The room assigned did not smell good. Front desk tried to help but there wasnt any rooms available to accommodate my family. They said I would get a refund so I will be working with Expedia for that refund.

The stay was bad only one day left early 5am it's a low budget live in hotel for people who are trouble or homeless no thanks. Would never go there again.

Upon checking in, the exterminator was at the front desk arguing with the manager (an absolute bridge troll of a man) and a "long term" guest about an infestation in her room. The guest refused to "move all her sh*t to a different room" for the exterminator to do his job. I was told they only have housekeeping in the rooms EVERY 14 DAYS. If a guest wants so much as their sheets changed before 2 weeks, they have to DO IT THEMSELVES. The hallways stank from everyone cooking ethnic food. Most of the interior doors were propped open making this even worse and constituting a major fire hazard. The guests' dogs were allowed to roam freely, unleashed, in the halls. Most of the rooms seemed to be for guests transacting some sort of paid sexual activity. The front desk staff's knowledge of English seemed to suspiciously come and go whenever I complained about any of these things. When I pointed out the fire hazard issue with the unsafe cooking and obvious criminal activity going on, the bridge troll manager THREW ME OUT. When I went into the (much nicer) hotel across the street, I encountered another woman telling the front desk attendant that she had "just come from across the street, and it was disgusting." I've on the road for a long time, and I have NEVER seen anything as disgusting as this place. I feel dirty just writing about it.

None. No bugs. Hot shower

This hotel has really gone downhill. Seems like they let just anyone stay, and in the little kitchenette, there's no silverware or plates? The bed looks shady like someone slapped some sheets on it, I slept on top of the covers. The shower was still dirty with someone else's hair and pubics in the tub and on the shower curtain.

The breakfast was way below what I expected,a cup of coffee and a fruit bar and no place to sit,there was a bench but someone was sitting there so we went to our room and there were no chairs there either! When I went to take my medicine there wasn’t even a glass to put water in! If you plan to stay in this hotel,bring your own chair if you want a place to sit and if you plan on eating breakfast bring your own ,if you plan on brushing your teeth and want a glass of water,bring your own glass. The hotel advertised continental breakfast but a cup of coffee and a fruit bar is not a continental breakfast it’s an absolute embarrassment!
