Residence Inn Phoenix North Happy Valley

The couch in the room was broken and sagging in the middle, the bedding on the bed was just cry thinsheet like blankets, the bathroon was extrey small, could barely close the door without having to step practically into the shower.

second stay in a row with an issue. last time, there was a distinct pet urine smell in the room. all that was done was to spray some deodorizer. this last time, we had a toilet valve get stuck and flood the bathroom. four calls later, we had the flooded water taken care of and the toilet fixed. I received a somewhat insincere apology email from the hotel, basically saying they will try better next time. I would expect more from a Marriot property.

We have stayed here several times in the past. The 2 bedroom suite fits our needs very nicely. This last time though, the central living area had the distinct smell of urine. My guess is someone's pet had an accident. The hotel is pretty new to be having such a thing. I would just recommend housekeeping take a sniff test, before another guest comes in.

Lever on the front door would work intermittently and the AC was extremely loud and making strange noises. Stairwells smelled like a machine shop.

We had issues all through our stay. It was actually about a week long. They convinced me to moved from paying Hotels.com to direct paying them. Once I did, they kicked me out of the hotel. They said my cats (2) were too smelly. They are supposed to be pet friendly. There were a million barking dogs on my floor, but my litter box smelled. I guess I probably shouldn’t have had it next to the tile floor near the door. I thought it would be easier clean up for the staff, instead I got kicked out of this Pet friendly hotel.
