This could have been a perfect place to stay only if…… …We didn’t know we needed to reserve a place at the pool. What a disappointment for the kids in such a heat wave. …The AC was making so much noise, it was cold, but not sleeping while cold is not the best. We ask 3 times to get it fixed but no results. …In the hotel details, there was self parking, but no, only valet parking at €30 was available, no other options. The room need a refresh, but since we are visiting this is not so bad. The service is 50/50. We had AMAZING people and some other just rude and careless. The breakfast was perfect, ideal for a family.

Good central location in Minori. Very close to the ferry port 5 mins walk ! Many restaurants and cafes around to have dinner and aperitvo. Seems like a nice location to stay if you want to stay in the Amalfi Coast but away from the touristy locations of Amalfi and Postiano but still in a great place to visit them.

Though the room was clean it seemed a bit damp and outdated. The air con smelt a bit odd at times too. We would have complained to reception about this matter. However, we felt the service from the staff was appalling most of the time we were there. The restaurant staff are tired and basically it feels like they do not want to be there, we had a incident on the first day at breakfast so complained to reception about this, though nothing really changed the following day. The the reception staff were ok, however we also encountered them to not really care at times We both have worked hospitality in several countries and know what good service is ... this is far from it. To be paying a lot of money for a stay at this "4 star hotel" and to be getting inadequate service is disappointing and I will not be returning, which is a shame as we enjoyed the location of Minori very much.

My partner and I booked Villa Romana Minori 10 months in advance to celebrate our engagement — what should have been special was ruined by rude staff, poor service and blatant false advertising. We were shouted at on arrival, given no information about meals or facilities, and left waiting an hour for our room with no update. Despite requesting something special for our engagement (and offering to pay more), nothing was done. The room was gloomy, damp and mouldy, with broken fans and leaking pipes. The air con only worked if we wedged the balcony door shut with our suitcase. We were misled about the pools and spa — the advertised spa is across the road and costs €100+ just to use the pool! The ‘beach view pool’ doesn’t even exist. Staff were rude, communication was awful and security felt non-existent. After paying nearly £3,000 we felt completely let down, stressed and forced to eat out on our first night due to a private event. Overpriced, overrated, and utterly disappointing — I strongly recommend you avoid both this hotel and Love Holidays.

Hotel is in a great location. Beach, restaurants, water shuttle, bus & laundromat are all in a 5 - 10 minute walk. Hotel has a pool & onsite restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. This is our 4th stay & really like this hotel.

Villa Romana Hotel Minori Italy is suitably placed and just a gentle 2 minute walk to the sea front. The hotel is old with a traditional, tasteful interior, the staff are on the whole polite. The food is typically continental with buffet style breakfast, so if you are expecting anything close to British food, then you will be disappointed, the same goes with the evening meals, although what we had was not bad at all but a little more Italian type of food would have been preferred instead on just food that tried to be Al a Cate. If you are expecting a room with a view and a balcony then then you have 50/50 chance of having one with the best view you would get is of the internal swimming pool. Our room was on the front of the hotel with only a Juliet balcony that you couldn't sit on and overlooking a busy road that was constantly very noisy and looking a very delapating houses that are occupied and can see into your bedroom. The noisy road is constant, and only goes a little quieter after midnight, and then you are woken up by the refuse collection at 5ish in the morning. The swimming pool has to be precooked for a 2/3 hour slot in the morning or afternoon. Would we stay here again? would be No! although the Amalfi coast is stunning, and we'll worth a visit.

The location is lovely with shops, restaurants, beach and boat port within a few minutes walk. The hotel is beautiful, clean and the staff are very polite and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and location. We rented a boat from the boat service which is by the beach for €150 for half a day. The staff were brilliant. We visited Amalfi, Positano and around the coast. We had a day trip to the Isle of Capri and visited the Blue Grotto. The wait times for this for 2 hours plus. I highly recommend this hotel & location.

Absolutely STUNNING AND BEAUTIFUL. The hotel is clean, staff are friendly and the hotel is just stunning. Breakfast was in a buffet style but there was enough choice and was good quality. The bed was comfortable, the bath was big and deep, slippers were provided in the room. WiFi was available and a TV in the room. The view from the bedroom window was stunning too. Would 100% recommend, one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in.
