The Lodge at Mountaineer Square, A Vail Resorts Property

Pros: Easy access to the base area and lifts. Offered convient ski valet. Cons: We reserved a condo for six adults (two bedrooms + a pull-out couch) but after arriving there was no pull-out couch in the room. They offered two roll away beds in the living room instead. After speaking to management, apparently the computer system "doesn't know" which rooms have pull-out couches so proceed with caution when booking this condo configuration. We received a small refund due to this issue but it was still pretty inconvient to not be able to use our living room during the entirety of the stay due to the rollaway beds in the space. Additionally, there is NO free parking on-site for guests which was not specified when booking. We were notified that parking was $30/vehicle per night only a week before arrival.

Great location, large room, pretty clean, helpful front desk. Some of the furniture in the room was stained or worn. The TV was connected to a VCR/DVD player. I have not seen one of those in awhile. Would be nice to have a microwave. I was surprised that i had to pay $30/day for parking, apparently a City of Crested Butte rule, and there was no alternative.

We had a very nice 2 bedroom suite with plenty of living space. Great location just a few steps from lifts. Nice small indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub. Fitness center open 24/7. Front desk staff very pleasant and helpful. Only negative was our room overlooked bus stop so lots of noise. Dining options are limited at base area so plan on going into town for better options. Kitchen in room was adequately stocked to cook basic meals.

Location is great. Rooms were large. Free shuttle downtown every 15 mins. We will be back!

Location is excellent. Lobby and entryway were very nice. And that would be it.

The unit itself is not a hotel room, but rather somebody’s joint venture with the hotel property management. The room is tired and in dire need of updating. Carpet in all three rooms were sold and spotted in a way that just says nobody has done anything for that with standard clean that you would get at any other hotel to take care of coffee stains or whatever food stains are dribbled along the pathways in the rooms or in the bedrooms. Lights are flickering in the kitchen where two lights are nearly out. I am OK with conservation of resources, but when I requested the garbage to be removed, I was told that it was my job to take it down the hall and put it in a dumpster. Ask for linens to be removed and I was told how many do you want in there and that they would not be removing soiled linens. I don’t think that’s the job of the high paying customer to deal with back up of trash and piles of wet towels.

Excellent close to the lifts condo. Will definitely stay here again.

We’ll be back. Terrific location near the lifts and an excellent one bedroom room. They offer a slope side ski valet so you walk 30m from the lift and you pick up your skis and you are off. Room was clean and nicely styled and the kitchen had every utensil you’d ever need.
