Comfort Suites Clayton - Garner

The room was spacious and comfortable, staff were friendly. However there was an issue with a change request that resulted in me not receiving a refund of an unused/cancelled night.

Construction in the rear off the building. Wind driven dirt and dust blowing. Can't be helped until it's over. Whatever they are building is going to obstruct the view in the rear of the facility.

Hotel a bit old and outdated could stand to be uodated

It was very clean

The card scanners didn’t work and you had to scan your card multiple times at all scanners/doors. The water pressure was extremely low. The headboard for the bed and the left headboard lamp were knocked loose and crooked. The room guidelines stated housekeeping will come every three days unless called for. They entered the room while we were gone on the second day. Not really a bad thing if valuables, credit cards, jewelry, and cash weren’t left out. They literally touched and moved all of the above to clean the desk. I noticed there was no syrup out for the waffles. The concierge opened two cabinets and immediately said they were out. He didn’t even check the kitchen or the other cabinets. There was a large bowl of syrup there days before when breakfast was over and I was the first one at breakfast this morning. They had some, he was just too lazy to look for it. He did let me grab coffee prior to the breakfast area hours which was nice. The window blinds didn’t close completely and let a good account of light in. I’m glad I packed body wash. There was none in the room. The tray for the coffee maker was completely wet with a pool of water when we arrived. Overall, this was not a 130 dollar a night hotel stay. Nice location to Clayton, but definitely not worth the price!!!

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. The hotel was older and in a somewhat congested area.

Good hotel, very convienant, quiet, a little old, needs some updates.

###DONT BOOK HERE I booked a room so could go swimming, upon check in I found out the pool was closed for repairs. I told desk staff the pool was the reason I booked. I asked for room to be canceled and they refused. I never checked in, accepted a key I ended up booking at the Fairfield so I could swim. The Comfort Suites is refusing to refund my $160 Expedia said nothing they can do WOW $160 for a room I was never in and a pool I never got to swim in. Shame on you Comfort Suites
