Holiday Inn Reading West by IHG

Lovely place to visit. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was great especially dinner and the price was excellent for the value. My family and I really enjoyed our stay.

Nice enough and clean

Middle of nowhere. 20-30 minute wait for a taxi at all times on all days.

Breakfast was good

Shower almost unusable as water temperature was scalding hot and tap did not make any difference.

Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. Good location for us!

Had a family holiday. Kids enjoyed a lot. The room was decent and the food was great. Thanks Chef N

The location was good for where we needed to be

We booked a standard queen room & paid £198 for 2 nights . However we were given a room for disabled guests which is totally fine but the bathroom was totally abysmal. The bath itself had dirty sealant around it & the shower had to be pointed towards the wall on bath as if you didn’t do that the water would go everywhere despite the very old dated shower curtain . The handle above the toilet kept falling down & the sink was very grubby despite the fact it was cleaned . The light above the mirror in the bathroom did not work . The queen bed was 2 larger single singles pushed together which made it an uncomfortable sleep & the bright pea green wall in the bedroom was horrible & very badly painted & the areal socket kept falling out of the television!!

The staff were polite, friendly and the location was ideal.

The bed was too small and too soft, additionally the bed dipped in the middle resulting in poor sleep. Between the hours of 3 - 4 am we were woken by noisy guest shouting in the corridor near our room that lasted over 30 mins, at which point getting back to sleep again afterwards was very difficult.
