"ON LOCKDOWN"

The hotel was on "lockdown" starting at 9PM like you were in jail. I would not recommend anyone stay here but I was born and raised in Sylacauga and have family there. It is the only half way decent hotel in town. It used to be nice when it first opened but now, it is not. I probably will be staying there again for its convenience in location to family but if there was a better hotel in town, I would never stay at Holiday Inn Express Sylacauga again

This hotel needs some remodeling. The carpet is disgusting and tiles are falling off in the bathroom. The carpet is so dirty that there’s actually a tackiness to it where your shoes stick a little.The workers are lazy. We even had one of the cleaning ladies walk in our room at 7 o’clock in the morning, not even giving us time to open our eyes before she walked in the door. A poorly managed hotel that really needs an upgrade. Sorry I didn’t take any pictures because we were so ready to be out of there.

Staff and manager were professional and great. Except one bad apple in bunch. Breakfast good. Cleanliness is good Except for sugar ants everywhere on 2 floor. So no pest control. This all comes back on owners not manager, because a manager has a budget and this Hotel needs help Badly. Has pool but usually out of order no heat although indoor pool. ELEVATOR may or maynot work passed inspection in Agust so it quit working in 6 months or someone got paid off. THAT IS ON THE COUNTY. Now the rest curtains the parking lots and Drainage in parking lot from pool area. Lots of potholes. Manager can only manage when given an opportunity but owners are not representing Holiday inn Express standards. Also when spoke to manager said they give me back money washer stole and points for trouble, but that did not happen either. So Beware
