Hotel Zena Washington DC

I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable with unique showers that I haven’t seen before! My room was very quiet and the hotel dining is pleasant.

Staff is delightful! They go above and beyond— I observed several interactions and personally experienced it, too. Unlike in many hotels, the people here seem to enjoy working together and it shows in the guest services.

The first room we were assigned had broken electricity and the bathroom was worn down and had no ventilation. Plus the air conditioner could not be adjusted. When we changed rooms it was much better, though the walls are thin and you can hear other guests in the hallway and adjacent rooms. Guests should be aware that you need to go to reception before accessing the pool.

Some of the cups in our room were dirty and the valet service was inconsistent. Price for overnight parking seemed high.

A very funky hotel. It is more than obvious that the owners are extremely liberal. There is liberal art throughout the whole hotel. Ruth Bader Ginsburg portraits even in the room, on the pillow. Women's rights statements throughout the hotel.

I always had to walk down to get the bus. The next Metro station is like a 10 Minute walk away
