Professionalism and cleanliness

Our flight was cancelled and we needed a hotel for the night. We chose the Double Tree North Charleston as it was close to the airport. We called and got a room, they sent a shuttle to pick us up at the airport. The hotel is very nice and clean. Is near several restraunts and the outlet mall our departing flight was scheduled to depart at 5pm the next day. The hotel staff allowed us to jabe a late checkout. We were also allowed to place our suitcases in their office while we waited for the time to leave for the airport. Shakilah was very helpful and very courteous. If we are in need id a hotel in North Charleston again, we will definitely choose this one

Stayed here during my son’s soccer tournament in Charleston and had a very disappointing experience. Despite paying a high price, the room was dirty and the AC didn’t work. Maintenance was unable to fix it, and we were forced to sleep in an 80-degree room. Housekeeping removed our towels but failed to replace them. After nearly two hours of back-and-forth with the front desk—who initially told us the hotel was sold out—they came at 11 PM, when my family was already asleep, to offer another room. The situation was handled in a rude and unprofessional manner. Overall, the poor service and unacceptable conditions completely ruined our stay. Very disappointing, especially from DoubleTree by Hilton. I would not stay here again.

Location

This hotel is super used and dirty at least floor two. Rooms are worn and dated, bathroom smells, fixtures are rusted. It’s gross. Not sure how it has 4.5 stars.

I found the staff to be good hotel rooms themselves are carpets are dirty sheets weren’t really clean. Definitely need some help in that area not having the pool area opened or any of the chairs accessible when it was sunny out was a mess and it should have more time at the bar or keep the bar open from like noon with one person.

Wish we chose a downtown hotel, but the hotel service and amenities were great!

Wish there was a game table or something to keep my teen busy.

We are here for the gymnastics meet with my granddaughter. Erika B. at the front desk was awesome. So friendly and helpful. You need more employees like her. She made my stay alot more pleasant by helping me get our room rate fixed to what it should have been for the gymnastics meet. When we checked in on thursday I asked the lady at the front desk about it. But she told me my rate was right. And then this morning, Erika was willing to take the extra step and help. I assume she talked to her manager , and she was able to give us the rate we should have gotten. A big difference in the price . She made my day. One reason we chose to stay here was because of the meet rates and we love Hilton Hotels. Thank you.
